How to learn to photograph professionally
Unfortunately, a high-quality and expensive device does not make a person a good photographer. Therefore, before starting the process itself, you need to familiarize yourself with the basic concepts.
Exposition- in simple terms, this is the amount of light that falls on the matrix. The process itself is called exhibiting.
Exposure - the amount of time the light hits the matrix. Shutter speed is often measured in seconds and fractions of a second. The parameter is changed in one-stop increments. one; 1/2; 1/4; 1/8; 1/15; 1/30; 1/60 s. etc. To take pictures without using a tripod, you must set the shutter speed to 1/100 or 1/200. With a value of 1/10, an auxiliary tool is already required.
Aperture - adjusts the amount of light that hits the sensor. When you change the aperture parameter, its size also changes. The higher the value, the darker the photo will be.
ISO- the sensitivity of the camera matrix to light. This option allows you to increase the amount of light in the photo, but at the same time unwanted noise is added, thereby deteriorating the quality of the image itself. Better if ISO will not exceed 200.
After, when the main parameters affecting the quality of the picture have been studied, it is worth moving on to the shooting modes that modern cameras offer.
AUTO- the name itself speaks for itself. This mode does not require special training and knowledge. You just need to turn on the camera and start working. This mode allows you to take standard photographs.
A and S (Av and Tv in Canon) - these are aperture / shutter predominant modes. When working in one of the modes, the photographer is required to adjust only one parameter, the rest is adjusted automatically.
Mode M - completely manual mode. In this case, the photographer judges the lighting himself and sets the appropriate aperture, shutter speed and ISO values.
P mode- an alternative to the automatic mode. Shutter speed and aperture are also set by default, but ISO is at the discretion of the photographer.
