When a child can have soup
Experts have not come to the same opinion about the age at which the baby is introduced to the soup. Some are sure that the optimal time to start such a feeding is six months of age... Others believe that it is worth postponing with soups until the age of nine months, or even up to one year old... In general, pediatricians advise not to rush to introduce soups for those babies who eat breast milk. But for artificial people, it is allowed to enter the soup early.
When introducing a child to soup, the general rule according to which any complementary food is introduced must be observed. You need to start with one spoonful of a new dish, and then gradually increase the amount of soup, all the while observing the reaction of the child's body. TO one year old the baby should eat 50 g of soup in one feeding.
In order for the child to enjoy the soup, during its preparation it is necessary to adhere to the following rules:
- The soup should contain the minimum amount of ingredients. Then, with the development of allergies, it will be easy to identify the irritating substance.
- For small children, the soup is cooked exclusively in water. Meat broths are harmful to babies of this age.
- You don't need to use spices. A small amount of onions or carrots are added to make the dish flavorful.
- Soup vegetables must not be fried. In general, it is better not to give your child food prepared in this way until the age of three.
It is better to cook baby soups with purified water. If possible, buy special water for baby drinking. In extreme cases, the water must be cleaned with a household filter. All vegetables must be washed especially thoroughly and cleaned before the very process of cooking. You need to take as many vegetables as you need for one serving. After all, you cannot store soup for baby food.
Vegetables, peeled and cut into small pieces, are placed only in boiling water. This will keep more nutrients in the vegetables. There is no need to add salt. The finished soup must be kneaded with a spoon or passed through a blender. So it will be more convenient for the baby to eat food, because at this age he still does not know how to chew.

Later on the rest of the vegetables, beets are added to the soup. From the age of one year, baby soup can contain eggplant, tomatoes and bell peppers. From the same age, you can cook chicken broth soup for your child.
