Home Family and home Children September 1: What you need for school

The next school year is approaching, which means that the heads of parents will be busy with the issue of school purchases. It is especially hard for those whose child goes only to the first grade. In this article, we will tell you what you need to purchase, and what will be a waste of money.

What you need to buy for school, and what you can do without

In panic and under the influence of the energy of the crowd, the overwhelming majority of parents run to stores and grab from the shelves everything that at least somehow relates to school and classes. This, of course, is very harmful to both the nerves and the wallet. If you want to buy only the essentials, then you should take it easy. The list is all over the head, so don't go shopping without it.

For convenience, purchases can be divided into groups:

  • clothes;
  • footwear;
  • stationery;
  • accessories;
  • materials for creativity.

This is a list of the most necessary things, without which it will be problematic, if not impossible. Otherwise, purchases may be limited. Purchases that may be convenient but not required include:

  • folders for notebooks;
  • book stands;
  • notepads;
  • schedule of lessons, etc.

Everyone associates school preparation with big spending, so we offer you some tips to help you save money on preparing your child for school:

  • Flowers are an integral part of the first of September. Do not buy chic and luxurious bouquets, limit yourself to one or two beautiful flowers. It's better from several angles. Firstly, it is economical, and secondly, the child will not have to drag around with a heavy bouquet for several hours.
  • School fairs as an illusion of economy. Buying school supplies and clothes at school fairs has long been a tradition, but is it really that good? In 99% of cases, the most expensive things are sold at fairs. Don't shop spontaneously, go to different places and see what, where and how much, then make a list of where and what is more profitable to buy. PSH
  • Since many educational institutions conduct educational activities according to their own programs, in most cases textbooks are not issued by the school library, but are purchased by parents. In order not to spend a lot on literature, try to negotiate with the parents of students for a class older and buy textbooks from them. Thus, you will save a lot and get practically new books.
  • A good option to save money on the purchase of a school uniform is to buy it with other parents. To do this, it is very easy to organize something like joint purchases. Find sites whose prices suit you, write to the store administration and start shopping. Prices from the manufacturer are always several times lower than buying a form from intermediaries.
  • Always buy school supplies in advance. In the first half of summer, everything is much cheaper, and the peak occurs in the last weeks of the summer season. You don't have to buy every little thing. It is quite enough to purchase the main "heavyweights" backpacks, shoes and uniforms, and leave notebooks and pens for later.

What a first grader needs to go to school

preparation for school

It is especially difficult for parents who are new to this business to prepare for school. However, there is nothing problematic here either. Firstly, almost all schools at the end of the summer gather a parent meeting and negotiate a list of what you need to stock your child with. Even if you were unable to attend the event, you can always contact the teacher additionally. Secondly, you can use the list, which we have already described above. In this case, the items are practically the same.

In any case, in order to calm down your internal panic, understand that shops and fairs do not close on September 1, so if you suddenly forgot to buy something, you can always fix it. The main thing is to take care of large purchases, and there will be no problems with trifles.
