Types of hair extensions

How to extend hair at home
It is better to start using extensions with overhead strands. They require careful handling, but they do not harm their own curls. Overhead strands are convenient for creating hairstyles for parties. Separate clean hair with a horizontal parting in the place where the strands will be attached. The part of the hair that is above the parting is collected in a bun. After all the strands are fixed, the upper part of the hair unfolds and covers the attachment points of the strand. The finished hairstyle is varnished.
If you want to get a long-term result, then use the tape extension technique. Capsule techniques are quite complex, so not everyone will be able to grow curls with capsules on their own.
The strands on the ribbons are artificial hairs attached to glue-backed strips. They will grow back along with natural curls. The color of the ribbons is selected as close to natural as possible. Standard extension methods are not suitable for short haircuts. Traditional capsules and ribbons will be visible. Owners of short hair are recommended to use micro extensions. This technique is based on the principles of hot build-up. The main difference from the usual capsule extension is the possibility of applying the procedure for hair lengths of 5 cm or more. Micro extension is recommended for weakened and brittle curls. You can pre-take the course strengthening masks.
The procedure takes 4-6 hours, but the capsules are very small in size and weight. Such capsules are difficult to pull out when combing, they are invisible on short haircuts. Only an experienced master can make high-quality micro-growth. A creative approach will be required, because the capsules are positioned outside the box. After removing the lock, natural hair is recommended to be washed with shampoo and balm.
Whether to extend hair
Owners of liquid or short curls resort to building up. After the procedure, you can get increased hair density up to 3 times. You can build up curls in certain areas of the head, apply curly curls or lengthen bangs. When using a strand of a contrasting color, it is possible to obtain the effect of highlighting or coloring.
The procedure is popular after injuries, burns or head surgery. It allows you to hide scars, birthmarks. After an unsuccessful haircut, staining, damaged roots, extensions allow you to create an attractive hairstyle. 
However, the build-up also has negative aspects. Hair care with extended strands is difficult even when using natural material. Someone else's hair can cause feelings of disgust. In addition, washing and grooming should be delicate. At night, the hair should be braided, combed only with a large comb. When the roots grow back, correction will be required.
You should not build curls with increased sensitivity of the scalp, baldness, undergoing chemotherapy treatment, using strong antibiotics and hormonal agents.
