How to remove paint from clothes
Depending on the type of paint, the methods for removing it vary:
- Oily. Using acetone, oil paint can be easily and easily wiped off. To do this, you will need to moisten a cotton swab with liquid and treat the contaminated surface, and then simply wash the item with powder. How to remove paint from jeans
Before choosing a product to remove a stain, it is important to consider that it is not only effective, but also does not harm the fabric:
- Refined gasoline. When using this product, you must remember that you need to use only purified gasoline, that is, the kind that is used to refuel airplanes and lighters. Before you start cleaning denim, you need to place a piece of cloth on the inside so that the cleaning agent does not spread to the clean areas. Then moisten a cotton swab with gasoline and proceed directly to cleaning, you need to start from the edge of the stain and move towards the center. After the surface is completely cleaned, you need to rub the area with foam from laundry or toilet soap and wash the jeans.
- Gasoline and white clay. When choosing this method of cleaning paint stains, it is important to maintain proportions. To prepare the mixture, you need to take the same amount of white clay and purified gasoline, mix the ingredients, apply to the contaminated area and leave the item for a while until the applied product dries completely. After the gasoline and clay have completely dried, you just need to wash the item.
- Oil. You can also clean jeans using olive or vegetable oils. You need to soak the contaminated area of fabric thoroughly with oil, being careful not to get it on a clean area, and leave it like that for an hour or an hour and a half, and then wash the item using powder for stubborn stains.
- Dishwashing liquid. This product can also be used to remove dye stains from denim. When using the product, it is better to use it only undiluted. You need to apply the product to the contaminated area and then rub it with a sponge or clothes brush for several minutes, and then wash the product.
How to remove dye from hair
A proven product that can remove hair dye from clothes is chlorine. Bleach can be purchased in tablet or powder form. To remove a stain, dissolve bleach in cold water and soak the product in this solution, leaving it for several hours. However, it is important to remember that you must strictly follow the recommendations in the instructions and do not increase the indicated dosage, as bleach can corrode the fabric. And it is equally important to remember that bleach has the ability to discolor fabrics, so it can only be used on white items.
If oil paint gets on your hair after repair, you can use a solvent. Take a piece of cotton wool, soak it in gasoline or kerosene and gently wipe your dirty hair. The remaining pigment can be washed off with a honey mask.
How to remove dried paint
When removing old dried paint, it is important to remember that getting rid of such stains is much more difficult than fresh ones, so more radical measures need to be taken.
White spirit. This product should be used very carefully when dealing with paint stains and should not be used on delicate fabrics. It contains toxic substances, so you need to work in a well-ventilated area and wear gloves. The product should be applied to the dirty area of the fabric and rubbed in circular movements until completely absorbed, and then wash the product.
Glycerol. This product effectively removes paint stains from any fabric. Before use, it must be heated in a water bath to a temperature of 40°C, and then rubbed into the contaminated area, and then washed.
