To care for a llama fur coat, it is best to purchase a medium-hard brush and comb out all the dirt and dust from the fur, making sure to wait until it is completely dry. You can clean it with either water or soapy cleaning products.

How to care for Tuscan fur

Tuscan fur is very soft and pleasant to the touch. Sheepskin coats made from Tuscan fur are considered the warmest, despite the fact that the material itself is very light.

A product made of Tuscan fur should be stored carefully straightened and, of course, on hangers of suitable size.

Tuscan fur, like any other fur, should not be combed unnecessarily. Also, if you use foundation, be sure to wear scarves. The foundation is absorbed very well into the collar, and it is difficult to clean it even with professional cleaning.

If the product is dusty or dirty, it is best to clean it with a special brush for fur products. This method of cleaning will restore the product's shine and beautiful appearance.

But it’s better not to try to clean heavy stains yourself. It is best to take Tuscan fur for general cleaning to a laundry or dry cleaner.

How to care for chinchilla fur

Chinchilla fur is the most expensive material on the fur market. This is a very warm and expensive fur that definitely needs to be looked after. You need to choose a chinchilla product very carefully, since high-quality rabbit fur is often passed off as chinchilla, but their properties are very different.

Chinchilla fur is prone to getting wet and greasy quickly. And given that chinchilla fur is very dense, it is sometimes very difficult to dry or clean the product.

It is better to dry a fur coat or vest in a separate room, where the fur cannot be affected by any heater or heating device. It is better to hang the product on a wooden hanger, and the room should be well ventilated. Be especially careful about drying your fur coat at home while cooking. Wet fur can absorb any odors, so the product should not be dried in the kitchen or bathroom.

When the pile dries a little, you can carefully comb it with a metal brush with thinned bristles. Do not put pressure on the product under any circumstances; movements should be gentle, in the direction of the natural growth of the pile.

In natural conditions, chinchillas clean their fur in volcanic ash. By analogy, chinchilla fur products are cleaned with sand. Even with minor dirt, sand can be poured onto the product and allowed to absorb dirt and excess moisture for some time. Since the fur is dense, it is better to give it more time. After this, clean it with a soft brush. The fur will be cleaned and regain its original shine and luster.

How to care for raccoon fur

Raccoon fur is a unique material. It can last you 15 years with intensive annual wear.

Raccoon fur is very fluffy, making products made from it voluminous.

A useful property of this material is that it does not absorb foreign odors as much as, for example, arctic fox fur.   But you still need to monitor the product.

If you haven’t worn your raccoon coat for a long time or haven’t worn it at all for a whole season, then be sure to take it out to air it out.

In winter, between wears, the product should be hung on wide hangers. Since raccoon fur is quite thin, it can easily take the shape of a coat hanger, and will not fit you as well as before, although you may not even notice any visible changes at first.

In winter, a product made from raccoon fur must be stored in a special case in a cool place. If it is a hat or a fur collar, then it can be wrapped in white, clean, soft paper, but the fur coat is best stored in a rag “breathable” cover.

It is worth knowing that artificial raccoon fur is also produced today; it is absolutely identical to the natural fur of this animal in softness, silkiness and wear resistance. In any case, no matter what fur, natural or artificial, you choose, be sure to check the product for quality. When you run your hand against the growth of the pile, the fur should quickly return to its original position, and there should be no visible bald spots or gaps between the piles. Raccoon fur is very dense and thick, despite the fact that it is quite light and soft.

If raccoon products are heavily soiled, it is still better to take them to a professional dry cleaner, and you can choose a drum dry cleaner, where the products are washed with sawdust soaked in a special solution. Such cleaning is very gentle on fur products, but at the same time effective.
