To obtain official status, you need to submit an application to the recipient club, then he will redirect it to an international organization. After checking it for uniqueness, a decision is made there. This usually takes no more than a week.

After making the main decision – the choice of the breed - it is necessary to determine its class. They are divided into 3 groups:

• Breed class. They are intended for breeding the breed, but do not take part in exhibitions.
• Show class. Such cats participate in exhibitions, but are also suitable for breeding.
• Pet class. This class includes those animals that do not meet the breed standard, so they are more suitable for the home and do not participate in competitions or breeding.

Before you buy kittens, you need to provide them with comfortable conditions. Although these animals are very clean, it is still worth taking care of the compliance of the nursery with sanitary and epidemiological standards, as neighbors and relevant authorities can remind about this.

Also, kittens need to get all the necessary vaccinations. In addition to impeccable health, representatives of the kennel must be well-mannered, meet all breed standards. To be successful at exhibitions, you need to raise a "perfect cat". Often for this, breeders go to veterinary universities for knowledge, study genetics and felinology. But there is a way to gain knowledge in the field of cat breeding by attending special courses at the club.

The costs in the "cat business" directly depend on the enthusiasm of the breeder, the conditions of keeping the animals, their number, etc. During the first year, the owner of the cattery has to work exclusively for the reputation. It is also important to take into account the main disadvantage of the fact that the state does not interfere in the "cat business". Since, according to the Code of the Russian Federation, animals are property, when they are sold, an agreement is drawn up between the buyer and the seller, according to which 13% of the value of the animal – it's a tax. This question is currently very acute among the owners of nurseries. They are fighting for this type of business to be considered entrepreneurship as well. But, this nuance can be circumvented by simply not drawing up this agreement, passing the animal from hand to hand.

Tips for future cat breeders

It is very important to acquire "quality" representatives breed, so that in the future they can give their offspring. To make the right choice, you need to follow some tips:

• It is better to buy animals in a cattery with an excellent reputation. Marketplace, message boards, etc. – not the best place to shop.
• For breeding, you need to purchase one cat and two cats. It is important to have information about their pedigree to exclude the possibility of relationship.
• Before buying, you need to discuss the details of obtaining information about the animal: either a ready-made passport is issued, or only a metric, and the main document will need to be made by the new owner.
• Passport – this is proof that the animal is in good health, its characteristics correspond to the breed and there are no problems with reproductive function either. But this does not mean at all that the cat will be a 100% winner at shows. Its success depends on being raised by a new owner, diet, health, etc.

• It is important to consult with your veterinarian when buying. If the animal was born from club parents, there will be no problems with this.
• Experienced breeders, selling kittens, give recommendations on the care of the animal, its diet, and even give food for several days. If you follow these tips, your cat will grow up healthy and meet all breed standards.
• After receiving the offspring, kittens need to be registered in the club on time. It is advisable to do this at about 2 months of age.
