“Like a baby”: rough skin on the heels - how to get rid of it
Coarsening of the skin on the heels is very common. If nothing is done about this problem, then over time the heels become ugly and unkempt. In addition, rough heels can even lead to health problems.
Why does the skin become rough?
There are actually not so many reasons why the skin of the heels becomes rough and cracks appear on it.
- Poor quality shoes. Often, in pursuit of savings, people buy shoes made from low-quality synthetic materials. First of all, the feet, and in particular the heels, suffer from this. The skin of the heels quickly becomes dry, corns appear on it, and over time, cracks. In this case, you need to give up uncomfortable shoes. Choose the right size shoes to avoid squeezing your feet. It is best to give preference to shoes made from natural materials.
- Too much time is spent on your feet. In this case, a person has a large load on his feet. First, this leads to roughening of the skin, and then to deformation of the feet. Advice for such people - to avoid negative consequences, stretch your feet more often and do special gymnastics.
- Health problems. As they say, all internal problems always come out. Rough skin on your heels may indicate digestive or thyroid problems. Therefore, it is worth checking your health.
How to make your heels soft
Regular care is important for smooth and soft heels. There's nothing complicated about it. To begin with, do not resort to rough pumice too often, and certainly do not cut off the rough layer of skin with a blade. This can damage the skin and cause infection. You should not rub the steamed skin of your heels with pumice stone - this will damage the healthy layer of skin, and the dryness will only intensify.
To quickly make the skin of your heels smooth, use this recipe:
- Lubricate dry and clean heels with any cream. It is best to take an emollient.
- Wait until the cream is completely absorbed into the skin.
- Now take a heel grater and wet it with a little water.
- Rub the skin on your heels with quick, gentle movements. You will immediately notice how dry, keratinized skin falls off.
- Continue the process, if the file is dry, wet it again.
- After finishing polishing the leather, wash your heels and apply cream again.
- Now put socks made of natural fabric on your feet and give your feet a rest.
