How to care and how to remove false hair
Now everything natural is in vogue, from the ends hair to the lips. But not all beauties can boast of a beautiful, long and thick hair. In this case, it can help build-up hair. It can be very different: capsule, tape, strands on clips and many more different variations, one session is enough from a month to a year, depending on the type of extension and the quality of the material. You can build up your hair from natural curls or from artificial ones, but, like your own hair, the extended hair needs proper care and attention.
Hair Extensions Care
So, the very first and most important thing is proper hair washing. The main rule is not to tangle new hair, otherwise it will be very difficult to bring it back to its original form. You should not run to wash your hair immediately after the procedure, it is better to wait 2-3 days so that the fasteners do not fall off.
Before washing your hair, you should comb your hair gently.
Ideal for shampooing - shower, no taking baths and washing your hair with your head lowered into the basin.
Selection of cosmetics It is best to use a pH neutral moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. These products can be purchased at a beauty salon for special hair extensions, or at a general store. Some experts advise using shampoos for oily hair, but by no means for dry.
Shampoo and balm are applied gently, without rubbing or smearing. After application, immediately rinse it off with warm water, then distribute the conditioner over the entire length of the hair and rinse off immediately. If you are used to rinsing your hair with water mixed with vinegar or lemon juice, then you should forget about it for the time of "long beautiful hair".
After washing, the hair does not need to be twisted, squeezed, rubbed, just gently wiped off with a soft and dry, best of all, a terry towel. It is categorically impossible to comb wet strands, as well as to dry them with a hairdryer. It is better if the strands dry on their own.
It is not recommended to go to bed with wet hair, otherwise you will not be able to comb it in the morning. During sleep, the ideal option would be a mesh on the head, or a loose pigtail.
Brushing is carried out only with special combs with rare teeth or natural bristles without any balls at the tips. You can comb only dry hair, starting from the ends, for this you can collect the hair in a ponytail for convenience. You need to perform this procedure three times a day, and with extended hair, you should not do bouffants and tight hairstyles.
A few more important tips: if you decide dye your hair, then this can be done, but not often and the means for coloring must be selected soft, without ammonia... Styling products are selected with a neutral pH. When styling your hair, do not touch the strand attachments. During the extension, you can make masks, but homemade ones are made only for your natural hair. At the same time, the mixture should not contain citrus fruits, spices, mustard, and alcohol. For hair extensions, it is better to use special nourishing and moisturizing masks created specifically for artificial hair. Do not forget about the correction of the build-up. For care you can purchase butter with silicone and antistatic spray.
Strictly contraindicated: saunas, solariums, baths, pools with chlorinated water. All this damages the fasteners and the curls themselves.
How to remove hair extensions at home
Of course, it is best to remove hair extensions, as well as to do, in a beauty salon with a qualified master. But there is not always the time and financial opportunity for such a trip. You can remove such curls at home, observing all the rules and caution so as not to damage your natural hair.
- Tape extension - can be removed quite easily and simply, with a hair dryer and liquid with alcohol. The first step is to heat the attachment point with a hairdryer, many strands will easily detach themselves. And with some you will have to work hard - wipe the place of attachment with liquid and carefully remove the strands.
- Hot build-up - you need to have a liquid or gel at home that dissolves keratin capsules. The product should be spread over the capsules, and then apply olive oil or a greasy mask. If there is no time for procedures, then you can apply the gel and heat the capsules with a hairdryer.
- The Spanish method, where the strands are glued by hand, each separately. You can, of course, use a solvent, but it is better to leave this matter to the masters.
- The Chinese version, when the strands are attached with metal clamps. They are removed with pliers, and it is better to have an assistant nearby.
- The French version (braids are made from native hair, and strands are sewn to them), it is enough just to unbraid the braids.
