How to decorate candles for the New Year: a master class with a photo

On the eve of New Year we traditionally decorate the Christmas tree and decorate our home with garlands, tinsel, bells and other paraphernalia. However, candles always give a special atmosphere to the holiday. Therefore, in this master class, I will present you with a couple of options for their design.

Decorating candles for the New Year: what you need

You can decorate candles with absolutely any materials: satin ribbons, polymer clay applications, all kinds of beads and rhinestones, sparkles, and even real spruce branches and cones. For these purposes, everything that is at hand will do. The most important thing here is your imagination!

The color scheme of my New Year's decorations is blue and light blue, so I decided to decorate the candles in the same colors.

So, to decorate the candles, we need the following materials:

• satin ribbons (wide and narrow);
• lace;
• thread of "pearl" hemispheres;
• scissors;
• Moment glue is universal (transparent).

I will describe the consumption of these materials further.

How to decorate candles with your own hands

To decorate the first candle, I took:

• a wide satin ribbon in dark blue with polka dots;
• narrow blue ribbon;
• lace;
• a half-bead in the shape of a heart.

The girth of my candles is 18 cm and I leave another 0.5 cm for stock, so the consumption of each type of ribbons and lace was 18.5 cm.

First of all, we measure the tape with polka dots of the desired length and glue it in a circle to the bottom of the candle.

Then we measure out the lace and glue it in the center, slightly overlapping the tape.

Be sure to pay attention to the fact that the lace pattern matches well in the place of gluing, because everything should look aesthetically pleasing.

Next, we decorate the center of the lace with a narrow blue ribbon.

The final stage is to fold a bow from the same blue ribbon. For this, a segment of the required length must be folded, as shown in the photo, and glued at the intersection. And then glue to the center of the top of the tape. Do not forget to make a bow with beveled ends.

We glue the resulting bow to the candle. We decorate its center with a half-bead. Here is such a nice candle I got.

I decorated the second candle with:

• wide blue satin ribbon;
• lace;
• threads from "pearl" hemispheres.

First, we measure out two strips of blue ribbon 18.5 cm each and the same amount of lace.

Next, glue strips of tape to the candle in a circle, one at the bottom and the other above it. Then glue the lace in the center. That's what I did.

After that, we also decorate the candle in a circle with a "pearl" thread. Advice: it is imperative to apply glue to each half-bead. Done!

As a result, I got such exclusive handmade candles.
