Home beauty Body oils

A velvety and beautiful body is every woman's dream, but it can only be achieved through constant self-care. Tap water, which everyone deals with every day, is one of the main causes of dry and flaky skin. The shower and bath, of course, cannot be canceled, and you cannot bathe in spring water, so there is only one way out - to additionally moisturize the body. One of the powerful tools in this business is oils.

Healthy body oils

Oils are the most useful thing that raw materials contain. They always have a high concentration, especially in essential oils, therefore, you need to use them very carefully in personal care. Be sure to run an allergy test before using any new ingredient. If within a few hours there was no reaction from the body in the form of itching, redness and other troubles, then everything is fine and you can use the element on a larger part of the body.

All the oils that we will talk about have a positive effect on the condition of the skin, it is just that each of them works harder in its own area. What does this mean, oils that are included in the anti-cellulite group can be used in general mode, even if there is no orange peel, it will not only not harm, but also act as a preventive measure. The main thing is that they are not allergic.

Speaking about essential oils, it is worth recalling more than once that they must be diluted in the base, otherwise you can get burned with a high probability. If there is damage to the skin, then it is better to refuse for a while from procedures with essential oils or to avoid such areas at the time of application.

There are many ways to use body oils. They are used in their pure form (about base oils), applied to the whole body as a replacement for body lotion or cream, or as a composition for wraps, an ingredient for aromatic baths, etc. We will discuss this in more detail in the following sections.

Anti-cellulite body oils

Cellulite is one of the most common problems of modern girls. Fight options for smooth and even skin, there is a sea, ranging from proper nutrition, diets and ending with expensive salon procedures and even operations. You can also fight cellulite with more pleasant methods, such as oils. The most effective in this case:

  • Geranium and grapefruit. These oils help to accelerate the flow of lymph and the release of excess fluid. As soon as excess water leaves the cells, the nutrition of the latter begins to improve and blood circulation is restored. Geranium oil also gives the skin elasticity.
  • Lemon oil helps to burn subcutaneous fat, improve blood circulation. It is useful to do wraps with it. Regular use can restore the skin to its former firmness and smoothness.
  • Juniper oil. It cleanses the blood, removes toxins and breaks down uric acid.
  • Rosemary oil. Improves metabolism and promotes the breakdown of the fatty layer.
  • Fennel oil. Cleans the body of toxins. ab54a5db5c0af96dc32404421d6f105d

But these are not all oils that help get rid of the hated cellulite. Among the leaders are also oils of nutmeg, bergamot, sweet orange, cinnamon, ginger, lavender, cypress, etc.

The essential oil can only be used after preliminary dilution. The optimal proportions in this case are 5 drops of ether per 15 ml of base oil. Based on this, various oil mixtures can be formulated.

Moisturizing body oils

Let's consider a little each oil separately.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is versatile from all sides. It can be used for hair, body, face and hands. They are suitable for dry skin, which is prone to constant flaking, and for oily skin. Coconut oil nourishes and moisturizes, smoothes existing wrinkles and prevents the appearance of new ones, helps relieve irritation, therefore it can be used after epilation, improves skin immunity, and helps fight acne. This oil has a lot of properties and they are all necessary and useful. However, all these properties can be used only by using a natural product, which, unfortunately, is difficult to find, there are a lot of fakes on the market. But you can cook it yourself, especially since it is very, very simple to do it.

How to make coconut oil

To cook about 80-120 g of butter, you only need one nut. Drain the juice from the coconut, peel the nut, remove the pulp. Grate the pulp with a fine grater and transfer to a saucepan or bowl. Fill the grated coconut with hot boiled water, but never boiling water, so that the liquid covers the pulp by two fingers. Take a regular crush and start mashing the pulp well. Ideally, continue until the liquid cools down, because the harder and longer it crumples, the more oil you get later. Then the container must be refrigerated overnight. In the morning you will see that a layer of oil has formed on top of the liquid, it must be carefully removed. You can store it in such slices, wrapped in parchment paper, or melt the butter in a water bath and pour it into a convenient glass jar.

Shea butter

Unlike most oils, shea butter has a solid structure. But this is easy to fix, you just need to hold a small piece in your hands and it will melt under the influence of body temperature. If the oil is real, it will have a slight hint of yellowness, and its aroma will give off hints of walnut. This oil is extracted from the fruit of the karite tree. They are somewhat reminiscent of avocados, but smaller in size.

Shea butter is very useful in cosmetology, but it will be especially effective in the case of coarse skin, with severe peeling, ugly skin color, flabby and aging skin. Shea butter can be used to make a very good cream. To do this, melt a large spoonful of shea in a water bath, add a couple of large tablespoons of almond oil and stir. Stir in a few drops of your favorite ether, such as lavender, and remove from heat. Storage of the composition should only take place in a cool place in a glass container.

Olive oil

One of the most popular oils, which, unlike sunflower seed oil, is perceived not only as a culinary, but also as a cosmetic ingredient. Its great advantage is that after being applied to the skin, it will keep moisture in it for up to 7-8 hours, and sometimes even more. Therefore, using it in personal care, you can not worry about dryness. Oil can be used to make a good moisturizer. To do this, heat a little oil in a water bath, add one yolk and mix very well. The cream is ready! You need to store it in a glass container and always in the refrigerator. Since the product is absolutely natural, it makes no sense to cook it for future use, cook the composition for a maximum of two to three days so that it does not have time to sour.

Argan oil

This product is made from the green fruit of the argan tree. Since argan is found only in three places on earth, this is Israel, Algeria and Morocco, it is not at all surprising that the cost of real oil is high and it is very difficult to find it, again in its present form. Just imagine yourself, to get a kilogram of oil, you need to process as much as 100 kg of raw materials!

In cosmetology, it is universal and can be used not only in body care, but also for facial skin and hair. In a short time, it helps to restore elasticity, eliminate dryness and even smooth out wrinkles. Massage with argan oil shows great efficiency. To use it economically, you can add a few drops to other base oils or to regular lotion and massage the skin.

Sunflower oil

One of the simplest and most affordable oils of our time, but this also played a cruel joke with it. Due to its ubiquitous use in cooking, sunflower seed oil is rarely associated with body care. But in vain, this is a very rich composition for all sorts of vitamins and minerals, especially for the beauty vitamin (vitamin E). Masks, lotions and creams based on it perfectly nourish and moisturize the dermis.

The oil can be added to baths, in just a few drops, it will soften the skin to a great extent. And after water procedures, the oil can be applied to the skin and wait 20 minutes, then wipe the skin with a clean dry towel, in this case the oil can perfectly replace an ordinary lotion. Some people use sunflower seed oil to exfoliate slightly by adding, for example, boiled coffee or oatmeal.

Sandalwood oil

This oil is a storehouse of beneficial ingredients for the skin. It can not only moisturize, but also restore and heal the dermis. A natural antiseptic will help restore problem skin of the body, which regularly has acne. It normalizes the work of the sebaceous glands. In addition to the therapeutic effect, the composition acts as a very good moisturizer, is suitable for the care of even the most sensitive skin and, due to its properties to relieve irritation, inflammation and itching, can become indispensable for it.

Sandalwood oil can be used as an aromatic additive to the bath, for this you must first dissolve about seven drops of oil in fat milk or base oil and pour the ingredient into the bath. The water temperature should not be hot, the optimal indicator is + 38 ° С. The time for taking an aromatic bath is about fifteen minutes.

You can also enrich familiar cosmetics with oil, for example, body lotion or face cream. Only 4-5 drops will be enough for a jar. Introduce them into the vial and shake thoroughly. Regular use of such a product will very soon make the skin soft and velvety.

Grape oil

This oil is very suitable for dry dermis, which has already begun to lose its firmness. You can apply the oil in its pure form, applying it either to problem areas or to the whole body. It is not the rarest, but at the same time it cannot be called cheap, due to the complexity of its manufacture. Therefore, be careful, and if you suddenly see oil sold for a penny, it is better to refuse such a dubious purchase. Grape seed oil is especially indicated for aging skin, as well as women over 35. It is absorbed very quickly and does not leave greasy marks and a film-like feeling.

If the skin is dry and requires constant moisture, then it will be costly to apply it in its pure form, so it is better to prepare something like a lotion on its basis. So, for example, one of the options for such a moisturizer is made from grape seed oil, a couple of droplets of rosemary oil, and the same amount of lavender oil. All this is mixed and applied to the body. By the way, such a recipe, with regular use, will help to make even stretch marks less noticeable.
