Taking care of irritated lips will restore beauty and eliminate discomfort in a couple of days. If possible, try not to go outside in severe frost and wind; if this is not possible, then in the open air try to cover your lips with a scarf or handkerchief. Also, to treat chapped skin, it is recommended to use a cream containing 0.5% hydrocortisone; you can apply a cream with eucerin on top, i.e. natural moisturizer. You can choose from eucerin with the addition of various components, for example, with retinol, hyaluronic acid etc.
How to moisturize your lips
In order to soften and moisturize your sponges, you don’t need to spend a lot of money; you can prepare excellent ones yourself. homemade masks.
- Natural oils of plant origin, such as coconut, almond, jojoba, olive, have an excellent effect, giving the skin firmness and elasticity. They need to be applied in a thick layer to cleaned sponges, removing excess with a napkin. It's best to do this at night.
- If you have cracks on your lips, then honey will come to your aid, which will speed up the healing of wounds. Apply honey with your fingertips as if you are massaging it into the skin. Keep the mask on for 15-20 minutes. To remove rough particles, use candied honey. Before applying it to your lips, rub it in with your fingers first to warm it up a little. Next, gently rub the honey into the skin using massage movements. This procedure increases blood flow and cell regeneration.
- To soften the skin, combine honey, glycerin and egg yolk. Mix half a tablespoon of honey with half a tablespoon of glycerin, add the yolk to the resulting mixture. Wait until the mask dries, then wash it off with warm water. It is recommended to use lip balm after completing the procedure.
