A wedding is a great holiday! The birth of a new family. In order for the celebration to be a success and be remembered by everyone for a long time, it is necessary to think through everything to the smallest detail. One sumptuous feast is not enough. You also need to entertain your guests. Most often the toastmaster does this, but a young couple can also give him a couple of interesting ideas.
Option 1
A simple and fun “guess the melody” competition. It consists in the fact that the presenter calls three pairs (more are possible). He puts on helmets for the stronger sex, and hands the weaker sex a toy hammer (a soft hammer that squeaks when pressed). The guys are seated on chairs in front of the girls, and the melody and the first chords are played. Whoever recognizes the melody first hits the helmet with a hammer.

No wedding is complete without alcoholic drinks. And over time, there were also a lot of competitions using them. One of the most “drunk” and fun competitions is guess what’s in the cocktail. The toastmaster prepares several pieces of paper with recipes for alcoholic cocktails and the cocktails themselves in advance. Then he calls the assistant and the participants. The latter drink and guess the ingredients, the former monitors how correctly the composition was named.
Option 3
Of course, at any feast, guests want to move around. There is a wonderful “feel the situation” competition for this. Before starting, the presenter says that in any family, sooner or later, a little happiness appears. And while the young are just preparing for it, guests have the opportunity to experience the role of a young mother. To do this, highly inflated balloons are attached to the stomach, and small toys and objects are scattered across the floor. The task of the “pregnant” is to collect as many scattered things as possible without losing or bursting the ball. Both girls and men can take part in this competition, but it will be much funnier with the latter.

Another fun "princess and the pea" competition. It requires a chair with a soft seat and several walnuts. The participant turns his back to the chair, the host puts the nuts and places the guest on it. And he must determine how many nuts they gave him.
Birthday contests for children
Children, just like adults, love holidays, what can we say about birthday. A holiday that only comes once a year should be a blast. Therefore, it is best to think and plan everything in advance. To keep your kids from getting bored, you can use the following ideas for competitions.
Option 1
In order to establish mutual understanding and contact between children, they need to be introduced. Divide the children according to the colors of their clothes. First, ask those in blue to introduce themselves, then those in yellow, and so on in order. You can ask the children to make up a short story. So everyone will be interested. The main thing is not to forget about anyone, especially if there are a lot of children.
Option 2
Many children love to draw. It is this skill that will form the basis of the next competition. The presenter’s task is to come up with questions about animals that do not exist in nature. Children, in turn, must describe the animal and draw what it is, as well as depict the sounds it makes. The most important thing is to come up with funny, interesting questions. For example: “How does a hippopotamus fish scream?” or “What does a clown turtle look like?” And so on.
Option 3
Children love adventures, riddles and secrets, and they love solving them even more. Therefore, you can invite them to be pirates or treasure hunters. All that is required of you is to prepare a treasure map in advance and arrange the sweet rewards (it is best to use chocolate medals) in accordance with it. To prevent the game from being too easy or to be suitable for children over 6 years old, use several cards rather than just one. Write sheets of work so that one leads the child to another. Ultimately, having solved all the problems, the child receives a “treasure”.
Option 4
A very interesting contest with balloons for older children. It is necessary to prepare leaves, draw or write on them what needs to be done. For example, crow 30 times, sing, pretend to be a camel. These leaves are rolled up and placed inside the ball. The balloon is inflated. To complete the task, the performer needs to burst the balloon, then take out a piece of paper and read what he got.
Funny birthday contests
For children
- Prepare two bags in advance and fill them with a variety of, preferably ridiculous, clothes. The competition requires 4 participants. One serves as a mannequin, and the second dresses it. To make it funnier, you can prepare pieces of paper in advance on which it will be written what event the child will go to in this outfit. For example, to a ball or to the gym. But they should be opened only after the child is already dressed.
- To cheer up children, name quotes from their favorite cartoons and fairy tales; whoever guesses the most wins.
- The “crocodile” game will come in handy for any birthday. It will perfectly help children relax and lift their spirits. The rules are very simple: the presenter thinks of a word and tells it to one participant. He, in turn, with the help of gestures and facial expressions, tries to explain it to his friends, who must guess what is being shown to them.
For adults
Adults are a demanding people. However, when it comes to competitions, often the simpler they are, the better and more fun. To keep the company from getting bored and laughing loudly, we offer you the following competitions:
- Portrait competition. For it you will need several sheets of paper and bright markers. Two pairs of participants. One poses, the other draws. The main condition of the competition: a right-hander draws with his left hand, a left-hander with his right. The competition has no winner, what matters is participation and results. But each participant can be rewarded. The prize can be chosen according to your taste.
- For the next competition you will need a box of matches. The participant is asked to hold the box with two matches. Then, when a person copes with this task, complicate the rules. Now, in addition to holding the box, the participant must also kick the floor. And when a participant comes across who is good at this action, the presenter turns to the audience and says the words: “And this is how they start a motorcycle in the sixth ward.”
Anniversary competitions
Collect the hero of the day
For the competition you will need: tape, markers, inflated balloons. The task of the contestants is to assemble a hero of the day from the balloons and color it.
Non-children's carousel
For this competition, you need a high chair on which a certain number of glasses of alcohol are placed around. The music turns on and the contestants walk around their glasses, like children in a kindergarten around their chairs. There should be one less glass than the number of participants. As soon as the music ends, the contestants grab glasses and drink; whoever doesn’t get it loses. The number of glasses gradually decreases. The winner gets the last one a glass.
Anonymous
Here you will need newspaper and magazine sheets with articles of various (preferably provocative) content to make it more fun. Next, the contestants are given scissors, glue and a sheet of paper. They must make up a story about the hero of the day using chopped words. Whose story turns out to be more fun wins.
Competitions for adults
Guessing game
To conduct the competition, take three piles into which liquids of the same color are poured. Two with alcohol, one without. For example, vodka and water for men, wine and juice for women. The participant stands with his back turned while the glasses are filled. Then he turns and drinks two of them without thinking. Which glasses will fall and in what order is a matter of luck.
Find the bow
Three participants and a small number of tapes are required. One participant turns away. Another attaches bows to the third. The bows must be tied so that they are hard to see. Then the participant who turned away turns around and tries to find the bows. To make the game more interesting, it is best to invite two men and one girl.

Why did the guest come
The rules of this competition are simple. All you need is to prepare a small bag and put small notes in it that say why the guest came to the owner for the holiday. The inscriptions should be humorous, but not offensive. For example: sleep, eat delicious food, borrow money, and the like. The competition will help defuse the situation and bring guests closer together.
Who am I
A very common game, fun and easy. Perfect for a large company. All you need are stickers and a marker. On the sticker you need to write the name of an animal, an outstanding person, a celebrity, or an object. This piece of paper is glued to the opponent’s forehead. It turns out that those gathered see who is who, but do not know what kind of inscription they have. You need to guess who you are by asking leading questions to your opponents.
