How often to wash your hair
The first mistake women make with the shampooing procedure is cleansing as it gets dirty. In fact, this rule is only suitable for women with normal hair type, which is quite rare. If the condition of your hair still bothers you, treat the frequency of washing your hair responsibly, otherwise the problem will worsen.
In this case, you should treat your hair extremely carefully, otherwise you will simply lose a significant part of it. Train yourself to be head no more than once a week, the procedure should not be long, about 10-15 minutes. A sufficiently high water temperature will stimulate the production of sebum, which in turn will eliminate dryness, provide the hair with a healthier look and natural shine. Treatments such as foams and balms should contain natural oils and moisturize your hair. Use plantain or chamomile tea as a natural mouthwash.
The washing regimen for oily hair is fundamentally different from procedures with dry and lifeless hair. Many people experience increased grease, due to which the hairstyle quickly becomes unkempt. Oily hair needs to be washed quite often, about once every 2-3 days, while you need to choose water at room temperature so that there is no additional stimulation of the glands. As a rinse, alcoholic tinctures of calendula or red pepper are effective. If, in addition to fat content, there is a problem of dandruff, then detergents are selected taking into account the presence of this ailment.

The main types of hair washing products:
- Healing shampoos are designed to treat a range of hair health problems, the most common of which are dandruff, seborrhea, lichen and alopecia (hair loss). Depending on the purpose, they can have different properties and composition, include natural and chemical components.
- Shampoos for oily hair have been created to solve the problem of increased greasiness, they have a lot of aggressive detergent components, but they must contain nourishing, moisturizing, and antibacterial ingredients to eliminate dandruff.
- Means for washing dry hair, on the other hand, contain a minimum amount of detergents, their task is to provide high-quality moisturizing thanks to all kinds of oils.
- Shampoos for normal hair do not solve problems with the condition of the hair, the main action is aimed at cleansing.
- In conditions of lack of time, the so-called dry shampoo will refresh the hairstyle. It is produced in the form of an aerosol and is made on the basis of starch and talc. It should be applied to the roots and then combed out to remove excess oil.
- Some anti-dandruff shampoos are not a remedy, however, they do a good job if the situation is not neglected. They should not be used too often, especially for those with fine and brittle hair.
- Recently, natural hair cosmetics that do not contain aggressive detergents, fragrances and dyes are gaining more and more popularity. Sulfate-free shampoos do not foam well, they are ideal for women with normal and dry hair type, but they will not be able to cope with excess fat.
- Natural hair washing products also have their advantages - the absence of harmful chemical components, how well they do their job, you can find out in practice. How to use the balm
Not all shampoos are able to take care of hair and solve problems associated with insufficient nutrition, hydration and restoration, it is the balms that take care of saturating the roots with useful substances and creating a film that protects the hair from negative factors. In addition, they neutralize the alkaline environment created by conventional shampoo and remove excess detergent.
All balms can be divided into two main categories:
- Conditioning balms. The main purpose of such products is to restore the acid-base balance of the scalp and give the hair such qualities as smoothness, elasticity and shine. Conditioning balms nourish the structure of the hair shaft with vitamins and microelements.
- Conditioning balms are designed to protect them from various damages as a result of drying or exposure to wind, sunlight and poor-quality water. Hair after using such a composition dries faster, does not electrify and acquire additional volume. Do not use the conditioner balm too often, it makes the curls heavier, making them oily.
Features of using hair balm:
- The balm should be applied after washing the hair, evenly over the entire length. If the hair is coarse, you can additionally comb through it with a comb so that the composition is well absorbed.
- As for the exposure time, this information should be clearly spelled out in the instructions. Do not overexpose the product.
- If the balm contains nutrients, rub it not only into the hair shaft, but also apply to the roots.
- Rinse off the balm with cool water so that the hair scales can close.
- For problem hair, there are special products that do not need to be washed off, they create a protective film, nourish and stimulate growth.

How to dry your hair
The ideal option for drying hair is a natural way, but sometimes there is a catastrophic lack of time, and we resort to using a special apparatus, a hair dryer. It is best to choose a hairdryer with several modes, including a gentle one, and an ionization function, which contributes to a more gentle drying. In any case, hot air damages the hair, in order to shorten it, do not neglect the following rules:
- Prepare all drying products in advance so as not to distract and dry your hair.
- Immediately after washing, absorb most of the moisture by blotting your hair with a towel, paying special attention to the root zone. Microfiber towels work best for this task. Do not curl the curls, rub them vigorously and leave the towel for more than 10 minutes, this will lead to fragility.
- When drying, use a gentle setting, usually indicated by a snowflake icon on the hair dryer. Treat damaged hair with cold air.
- Use special heat protectants, sprays, balms and serums, which must be applied along the entire length and left on the hair until the next wash.
- To avoid using hair straighteners, straighten them while drying by holding a hairdryer in your right hand and a comb in your left.
- Hair often gets tangled, so separate them into zones first and secure with clips.
- Remember the main rule - first you need to dry the roots, then the tips.
- Maintain a distance - keep the hair dryer 20 cm from your hair.
