How is bio-reinforcement done?
As the name implies, this technique involves the internal strengthening of the skin with some kind of natural preparation for it. In fact, this is the case. When performing bio-reinforcement, a special drug is injected under the patient's skin, firming the skin deep inside.
As a rule, hyaluronic acid acts as such a drug, but other substances can also be used. The selected substance is injected into the skin by injection. To prevent infection, before the administration of the drug, the skin of the face is treated with an antiseptic. An anesthetic cream is applied to reduce pain. The duration of this procedure is about one and a half hours.
For bio-reinforcement, one of the following drugs can be used:
- Hyaluronic acid. It is used most often, since it is the closest to the natural substance produced by the skin. As a result, hyaluronic acid is well accepted by the body. The introduction of this drug creates the effect of moisturizing and the necessary stimulation of the skin.
- Polylactic acid is usually used for injection in older patients, as it works in the same way as hyaluronic acid, but stronger.
- Special threads. Their introduction under the skin also refers to the technique of bio-reinforcement. However, in the case of threads, a more traumatic effect on the skin of the face occurs.
All drugs are injected with special thin needles along the dermis tension lines. The needles are inserted parallel to the skin surface. To exclude the possibility of infection and causing pain, the patient must undergo preliminary disinfection and anesthesia of the skin.
Indications and contraindications for bio-reinforcement
Before the procedure, you should definitely visit an experienced beautician for consultation, who will assess the condition of your skin and the need for this procedure. The recommended age for bioreinforcement is up to 50 years old, but not less than 35 years old. There is simply no need to use the procedures earlier, because at a younger age, skin changes have not yet taken on a global character. At an older age, radical rejuvenation measures are already required, since bio-reinforcement will not bring the desired result.
It is worth thinking about bio-reinforcement in the case of:
- The eyes, eyebrows, or mouth have drooping areas.
- Noticeable sagging folds of skin.
- The nasolabial folds are clearly visible.
- The contour of the chin and lower jaw has blurred.
- In some cases, bioreinforcement is done if it is necessary to add volume to some parts of the face.
The bio-reinforcement procedure is contraindicated in the case of:
- Existing diseases of the circulatory system.
- Treatment is carried out, involving the use of anticoagulant drugs.
- Any inflammation or infection is present.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding of the baby.
- Diseases of an autoimmune nature.
Failure to comply with the contraindications to this procedure can give side effects or lead to undesirable consequences.
Recovery after bio-reinforcement
Immediately after the completion of the procedure, there may be noticeable redness or even hemorrhage on some skin. Do not be afraid. All these signs go away after a while on their own. For better healing, the cosmetologist prescribes the use of special preparations that contribute to the early healing of wounds, have antimicrobial and disinfectant properties.
Within two days after the completion of bio-reinforcement, traces of injections will be visible on the skin. Therefore, for some time it is necessary to observe the restrictions, although it is already possible to lead a familiar life. During the day, you can not touch the face at the puncture sites. For two weeks, any cosmetic procedures, physical activity are prohibited, exposure of the skin to heat, scrubbing and peeling.
Rehabilitation after the bioreinforcement procedure takes a short period of time if hyaluronic or polylactic acid is used, since the probability of their rejection is very low. In the case of threads, this process takes a longer time.
Bio-reinforcement: reviews
According to women who have done the bio-reinforcement procedure, it has a positive effect. The skin is visibly tightened and smoothed. Immediately after the procedure, there are swelling and even small bruises in some places. The swelling goes away within a few days. Of course, you should not count on a radical transformation of the appearance with the help of bio-reinforcement, but you can still correct the oval of the face and visually thus throw off several years of age. If you want, you can even add a little volume, for example, make the sunken cheeks fuller. The disadvantages of this procedure include its high cost. The effect of bio-reinforcement is temporary and lasts from several months to two years.
But not all women without exception are satisfied with the result of the procedure. There are also those who believe that bio-reinforcement is not worth the money spent and does not give any visible rejuvenation effect.
