How to dye highlighted hair light brown

When choosing a paint color, be guided by the skin tone of the face. For example, with light skin, light blond tones are better suited, and if the skin is dark, then golden and honey shades should be preferred. If the natural color of the hair was dark, then it is better to opt for the now fashionable ash shades of light brown.

In order to repaint the highlighted hair in a light brown tone, most likely, you will need a preliminary wash. This will remove unwanted pigments from the highlighted strands. Having finally got rid of unnecessary pigments, you can start dyeing your hair light brown. In this case, it is better to wait a couple of weeks after washing, so that the hair can recover.

How to dye highlighted hair dark

If you decide to dye your highlighted hair in dark colors, then you need to act in this way. First, the coloring composition must be applied to the overgrown roots, wait twenty minutes to fix the paint. Then the dye is applied to the entire length of the hair for another ten minutes. After that, you can wash off the coloring composition and evaluate the result of coloring. Most likely, highlighted strands will have a lighter tone. In this case, if you want to have an even shade, you can repeat the procedure after a couple of weeks. But you don't need to re-dye your hair, because lighter strands enliven the hairstyle and make it more voluminous.

How to dye streaked hair blonde

Dye your hair in a light shade after highlighting is possible, but it all depends on the original hair color. If the natural color does not differ much from the streaked strands, then it will be enough just to paint the hair in a light tone. Since it is difficult to evenly dye highlighted strands in one color, you need to choose a paint of a tone located between the lightened and unlightened strands. It is best to choose light shades.

If your hair is dark, then you need to lighten it first, and only then dye it in the chosen tone. Do not try to completely repaint the lightened strands in one dye. It still won't work. It is better to dwell on a shade that is a few shades lighter than the natural color. This will help freshen up the complexion, and will also paint over the existing gray hair, if any.
