For example, if a skirt is made for a girl with a height of 116 cm, and the estimated length of the product is 34 cm, then, taking into account allowances of approximately 5-7 cm, the cut length should be 40 cm. The cut width is equal to the hip circumference multiplied by 2.5. Due to this, the effect of splendor is achieved.

• In the second stage, fold the fabric in half along the side seam with the front part facing inward and sew a seam 1 cm wide.
• At the third stage, you need to stitch the top and bottom sections of the skirt into the hem.

• On a piece of whatman paper you need to draw a horizontal line, its length should be equal to half the hip circumference plus 2-3 cm for allowances.
• Next, in the middle, perpendicularly, you should draw a horizontal line, the length of which is equal to the length of the skirt.
• After this, you need to draw two side lines with a slight extension downwards.
• Next, the pattern must be cut in half along the center line and transferred to the denim.
• The cut out halves of the skirt should be sewn. Then you need to cut out a belt from the fabric, insert an elastic band and process the bottom cut.

Tulle is a light, airy material. It will not be difficult to sew a children's elegant skirt from it. You can choose material of various colors.

• To work, you will need about one and a half meters of tulle, from which you need to cut about 50 rectangular parts with a width of 20 cm and a length corresponding to the length of the product.

In order to make an elegant skirt with flounces, you will need more fabric, because you need to sew the base of the skirt and the flounces. The number of flounces depends on the length of the skirt. For example, with a skirt length of approximately 20-22 cm, you will need four flounces 7 cm wide.

• At the first stage, you need to cut out the base of the trapezoidal skirt and mark on it the areas for the belt, for each flounce and for the bottom seam.
• To make flounces, you need to cut strips from the fabric, trim their edges, and then run a stitch along the length of each strip, slightly shirring the fabric.
• The flounces must be secured to the base of the skirt, starting from the bottom.
• At the final stage, all that remains is to sew on the belt and insert the elastic.

How to knit a children's pleated skirt

A skirt for a girl can not only be sewn, but also knitted. For example, a model of a woolen children's ruffled skirt will look cute. Based on the assumption that the child is 3-4 years old, you will need approximately 200 g of wool.

• The first row must be knitted as follows: first one edge loop, then seven knit stitches and one purl stitch, then repeat the repeat and finally make one edge loop.
• In the second row, one edge loop is knitted, four knit stitches and one purl stitch, seven knit stitches, one purl stitch, rapport and three knit stitches are repeated.
