Ultra short low-waist skirts, more like a belt, have long gone out of fashion - they were replaced by skirt-shorts. She does not hinder movement, allows you to admire your even tan and is suitable for any image.

There is a huge variety of models of such shorts in stores, we have chosen the simplest universal skirt-shorts that you can sew yourself, having only the most basic skills of working on a sewing machine.
How to sew a skirt shorts - pattern
We need
- the cloth
- Scissors
- Safety pins
- Chalk or soap bar, marker
- Sewing machine, iron
- Pattern paper
- Zipper or buttons
- Needle with thread
- Take one part of the pattern of any regular shorts or trousers and divide it into 3 parts. By the way, you can simply rip up and circle your old shorts around the contour, then you don't have to take measurements and there will be less chance of making a mistake with the size.
- Starting at the fold line, use a marker to separate the front of the shorts. Let's transfer the dart to this part.
- Now draw a vertical line on the back of the pattern in the same way.
- On these lines we make cuts and move them apart to the desired width - the optimal width is about 4 cm. The wider the dart, the wider the shorts will be. The deeper it is, the shorter the incision length and, accordingly, vice versa.
As a result, you should get such a pattern.
We lay out the fabric on the table and with the help of safety pins and a piece of soap we redraw our pattern onto the fabric. If you have special silk paper for transferring the pattern, then this will greatly simplify the task - then you just need to put silk paper on the fabric, secure the pattern with pins on top and circle all the details again. The pattern will be printed on the fabric and you just have to draw it again with a piece of soap or chalk.

When all the details of both the front and back of the shorts are ready and laid out on a flat surface, we will need safety pins again. We evenly fasten all the seam lines with them and sew them together. If you are not yet very confident in your abilities, for convenience, you can first bait straight seams with a thread and a needle.
Gently hem the bottom and sew on the zipper or buttons. You can make a hidden clasp on the side and back. We iron well all the seams and the product itself with an iron.

If you have opted for beach skirt-shorts, then it is important to remember that clothes for the beach should first of all be comfortable, practical and easy to wash. The fabric is needed light, in no case should it be hot in them and, ideally, they should dry quickly. A good choice of beach fabric is chiffon or polyester. Of course, it is always better to give preference to natural fabrics, but they dry longer and wrinkle, which will create unnecessary inconvenience for beachwear.
