When a child doesn't want to get dressed
Many young mothers spend a lot of effort and energy in order to dress their child. Whims, tears, hysterics make the process of dressing the baby very difficult and irritating for both. The reluctance to dress provokes nervousness in mothers and fathers, which in the process results in shouting at the child, threats, and sometimes humiliation of the baby. Let's figure out why children don't like to dress like that.

Why does a child not want to put on clothes?
The process of dressing is not very popular among children. Firstly, when parents start dressing a child, they distract him from the important activity in which he was engaged. The child needs time to switch from one type of activity to another, so he begins to cry and throw tantrums, since he does not want to do this.
Secondly, things very often restrict the baby’s movements, and he begins to cry, because he lacks freedom, he feels unnatural. He is much more comfortable being naked or with minimal clothing. This is especially true for children under 2 years of age.
The child does not want to dress himself
It happens that children after two years are still categorically against dressing themselves. One of the reasons may be that the child simply does not know how to put on tights or sweaters himself. If mommy constantly did this for him, then when the baby is forced to dress on his own, this causes a lot of protests, because he has never done this before, this is a completely new activity that creates fear in him.
Another reason for a sharp refusal to dress yourself may be a reluctance to go somewhere: to kindergarten, to the hospital, for a walk or to visit. Thus the baby protests. This may be due, for example, to fear that he will be vaccinated, or that someone has offended him. It is imperative to figure out why the child suddenly refuses to get dressed. Talk to him and explain everything.
Advice to parents on how to dress their child
To dress a child without tantrums, you need to develop your own strategy, but you should remember that for children of different age categories there should be a different strategy.
If the child is under 2 years old
There are two ways to easily dress your baby. The first is to turn this “painful” process into a playful one. When you are trying to put on those disgusting pants for a child, you can tell a fairy tale or an interesting story that will intrigue and interest the baby.
The second way is in the game itself. For example, when your baby persistently protests against a sweater or turtleneck, start playing with him primitive but amusing games similar to “peek-a-boo.” The main thing is not to be nervous and control yourself.
If the child is over 2 years old
Here we should act using more prudent methods. First, you just need to convince the child that he will have training camp. Place your bag in front of him and start collecting things, demonstratively, so that your baby can see everything. This way he will have time to get ready for what he has to wear.
You can also ask your child to participate directly in the process of choosing clothes. Let the child choose what he will wear.
Choose your strategy and your baby will be happy to wear both nasty tights and an unloved turtleneck!
