Laser resurfacing of skin imperfections
Modern methods of laser removal of various skin imperfections have allowed many women to regain confidence in their own charm. Scarring, acne marks, the consequences of surgery - all this looks unattractive. Decorative cosmetics only helps to reduce the appearance of defects, while laser resurfacing smoothes the surface of the epidermis and removes pigmentation.

Laser resurfacing of stretch marks
Ugly scars on the surface of the skin of atrophic origin are called striae or stretch marks. They appear as a result of various factors:
- taking hormone-containing drugs;
- a sharp change in the weight and volume of the figure;
- endocrine system diseases;
- changes in hormonal levels during puberty, pregnancy;
- with active muscle building in athletes.
With strong stretching, internal micro-tears of the epidermis occur, which, during healing, are filled with connective tissue cells. New stretch marks have a reddish or purple tint. After healing, their surface brightens and becomes slightly lighter than the main skin color.
The sanding procedure is often referred to as peeling. In the course of processing, the outer part of the stretch is removed layer by layer with a device with high delicacy. As a result, the surface of the stretch marks is compared to the skin and becomes almost invisible. With the help of grinding, it is possible to carry out interventions with an accuracy of 1 micron. The procedure stimulates the natural production of collagen, which improves the condition and elasticity of the skin.
Leading clinics use erbium laser, which is highly reliable and accurate. When striae cells evaporate, the laser seals the damaged vessels and causes minimal damage to neighboring cells. Before treatment, the dermis is cleaned with an antiseptic. The exposure does not cause pain, but sometimes there is a slight burning sensation. For anesthesia, the epidermis is treated with an anesthetic gel. After grinding, redness, small crusts, and slight swelling appear on the surface of the stretch marks. Internal regeneration processes start in 10-14 days, the skin is cleansed and the final result is manifested.
Laser resurfacing of scars
Postoperative scars are also effectively removed using laser resurfacing. With the laser, perforated areas with holes less than 1/10 mm are formed on the surface of the scar. As a result of the application of microtraumas, natural regeneration processes are triggered, the production of its own collagen is activated. As a result, the connective tissue is replaced by healthy cells of the epidermis.
The maximum effect can be obtained after a course of 3-6 procedures. Grinding is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation, with sugar diabetes... An individual feature in the form of a tendency to keloid scarring is also a limitation to the use of the procedure.
For grinding, a fractional CO2 laser or an ablation laser is used. It is recommended to refrain from sunbathing and use sunscreen 30 days before the procedure. The advantage of the procedure in comparison with alternative methods is a smaller area of influence and the possibility of accurately fixing the intensity and duration of the laser beam.
Laser resurfacing of scars
Scarring is a natural healing process for soft tissue. In the damaged areas, connective tissue fibers are formed, in which there are no blood vessels. Due to this, the scars have a paler color than the skin. The scarring site has a high density and low elasticity.
The following types of scars are distinguished:
- Atrophic in the form of long, whitish stripes with a soft structure. Usually the level of the surface of the scar is below the adjacent skin.
- Hypertrophic are characterized by a convex surface and high density.
- Normotrophic ones practically do not differ in structure from the surrounding tissues, but they have an uneven color.
Old postoperative scars that remain at the site of surgical incisions are called keloid scars. Depending on the type of scar, the grinding technique is determined. The advantages of laser resurfacing are the short duration of the procedure (no more than 20 minutes) and a short rehabilitation period. When using an ablative laser, there are no boundaries between the polished areas and adjacent tissues, called demarcation lines.
How much does laser resurfacing cost?
Due to the use of expensive equipment and the involvement of highly qualified specialists, the cost of laser grinding is high. Prices for various types of procedures are given in the table:
Name of service | Cost for 1 cm 2(rub.) |
Sanding stretch marks | 1700 |
Grinding scars | 1900 |
Scar resurfacing | 1900 |
Laser skin cleaning | 2800 |
Prices quoted may vary depending on the severity of the problem and the required area. After examination and consultation, the specialist makes the final calculation. Many clinics offer discounts for large volumes.
