Best oils for dry hair

Many women face the problem of excessive dry hair. Oils are the best suited for its solution. You can use both base oils and essential oils. They work especially well as part of masks. Today we will consider which oils are ideal for dry curls.

Dry hair oils

Any vegetable oils are divided into basic and essential. The first type of oils is great as an ingredient in homemade masks. Essential oils are used for rinsing and aroma combing.

The most commonly used oils are:

• Sandalwood oil perfectly protects curls both from the harmful effects of the external environment and from the activity of free radicals that affect the processes of destruction and aging of cells. This oil perfectly restores dry strands and normalizes the activity of the sebaceous glands. • Jasmine oil works well as a moisturizer too. This oil is able to enrich the hair with ingredients that can retain and attract moisture. This means that the hydration will be long lasting. • To saturate your hair with vitamins, you can use citrus oil - this is an orange, tangerine. • It is important to use chamomile oil for quality nutrition. It perfectly protects against aggressive external factors, such as too hot or too cold air. Chamomile oil can effectively restore hair structure and eliminate dandruff by moisturizing the skin.

Masks with oils for dry hair

For home masks any oil on hand can be used on dry hair. However, oils made from almond, olive, jojoba, peach or avocado have the best effect. One of the classic recipes suggests mixing a tablespoon each of almond and olive oils, adding a teaspoon of jojoba oil and a few drops of ylang-ylang oil. Then this oil mixture is slightly warmed up in a water bath and applied to the hair. First, you need to distribute the mixture over the scalp and lightly massage it, and only then distribute the mask through the hair. After an hour, the mask can be washed off.

You can also use a separate component as a mask. For example, heated linseed oil applied to dry hair has a good effect. After application, wrap your hair with plastic and a warm cloth and leave it on for a couple of hours.

An olive oil mask has a wonderful effect, egg yolk and honey. First you need to melt the honey, beat the yolk in a separate bowl and add to the honey. Pour in the olive oil last. Apply the mask to washed, damp hair and leave to act for half an hour.

If your hair is very dry, you can make a mask with castor oil. Beat the yolk of one egg, add a tablespoon of castor oil, a teaspoon of lemon juice to it, mix everything and distribute through your hair. Keep this mask under a film and a warm cloth for two hours. Then the mask must be washed off with warm water and shampoo. Castor oil is very difficult to wash off your hair, so be prepared to repeat the procedure several times.

To restore the moisture balance of dry hair, a mayonnaise mask is suitable. Remove it from the refrigerator in advance so that the product is at room temperature. You will need a tablespoon of natural mayonnaise, add a few drops of any essential oil to it. Apply the mask over the entire length of the hair and let it act for an hour. For the best effect, cover your head with plastic and a terry towel.
