Interesting experiments in physics

Although children learn about such a subject as physics in school, it is possible to acquaint them with physical phenomena earlier. We offer you a description of several experiences that will be of interest to children.

1. Water in a glass. This experience introduces the child to the concept of atmospheric pressure. To begin with, the baby is advised to tell that a person is affected by air, which presses from all sides, so people do not feel it. Then you can proceed to the experience. You will need a glass of water and a napkin or sheet of paper. You need to firmly press the napkin to the glass of water from above and, then, turn it over. Considering the fact that the water pressure is significantly less than the air pressure, the napkin will remain in place and water will not pour out of the glass.
2. Figures from gelatin. To prepare this experiment, you need a glass, 10 g of gelatin, a bag, water, animal molds and a napkin. First, pour 50 g of water over the gelatin. When it swells, you need to warm it up in a water bath. Further, the mixture must be poured into the bag, evenly spreading it out. When the mixture hardens, using molds, you can cut out any figures. And, putting them on a napkin, ask the child to breathe on them. What is going to happen? It's that simple! Gelatinous animals will bend, as breathing on them moistens the top layer. The volume of the figures on one side increases, which makes them bend.

Interesting experiments in chemistry

Chemistry experiments are no less interesting. In addition, some knowledge will help parents feed even the pickiest kids. To do this, it is enough to perform the experiment described below with your child and, at the same time, cook delicious and original scrambled eggs.

1. Green scrambled eggs. In order for the usual dish to turn green, it is necessary to prepare a little red cabbage juice in advance. First you need to separate the egg white, add the prepared juice to it, then mix everything thoroughly. First, pour the protein into a preheated pan, and then add the yolk. Such original scrambled eggs are quite edible. The color can be adjusted by adding more or less cabbage juice, and it can be either turquoise or blue. This is because red cabbage juice is a natural indicator that, when mixed with other products, can change color.

2. Inflation of balloons. Another way to amuse your little ones is to show them a fun ballooning experience. In addition, after that, children will be able to play with a ball. For the experiment, you need to prepare an empty bottle, a balloon, a little soda and vinegar. Pour soda (2-3 tsp) into a ball, and pour a little vinegar into an empty bottle. After that, the ball can be put on the neck of the bottle, but this must be done carefully. Next, pour the soda from the ball into the bottle. After that, a chemical interaction will begin: the vinegar will foam, release carbon dioxide. It is he who will inflate the balloon. But you need to hold it with your hands so that it does not fly away. Such a balloon cannot be distinguished from those that are filled with helium, since it will also fly.

Interesting experiences for children at home

Probably, many have heard of such an experience as growing crystals. This can be done quickly using eggshells, alum, dyes, and white glue. Eggshells should be washed well and dried. Further, on the inside, you need to spread glue and sprinkle with alum powder. After 10-12 hours, it is necessary to dissolve the dye in 2 cups of boiling water, cool the liquid for half an hour, then place the eggshell in it for 12-15 hours. Thus, after a while, crystals will begin to form on the shell. You need to take them out carefully, since the crystals are very fragile. It is advisable to use rubber gloves for this purpose.
