DIY Halloween masks

You don’t always have the time and money to go shopping and look for a mask for the holiday. In this case, you can make a mask from improvised materials. You can make a mask for your child from paper, cardboard or felt. Decide on the hero you will portray your child, purchase the material and start acting. With paper and cardboard, everything is quite simple: come up with or find a template on the Internet, print it out and transfer it to cardboard or paper. Then carefully cut out and attach elastic or ribbons for ties.

It can be decorated or decorated with various elements: gauze, wool, hair, sequins, beads, feathers. You can use beautiful yellowed leaves from trees, but keep in mind that such a mask will not last long.

Another option is to make a mask from felt, also transferring the template of the future mask onto felt. Cut, glue, you can glue felt of a different color, making hair and eyebrows, for example, on a Hulk mask.

The handiest ones can be advised to make a mask from plasticine or special plaster, or clay. To do this, you first need to make a cast of the face, and the mask can only be on one half of the face, then stick several layers of paper or newspaper on PVA glue, after which you can begin painting, decorating and cutting out slits for the eyes, mouth and nose. You can make a scary mask by making bloody streaks of red paint or purulent wounds.

For girls you can make masks from lace. The most current colors are black and red, less often white for a corpse bride costume, for example. For this mask you will need glue, a piece of thick cardboard, a piece of lace, scissors and ribbon for ties. Cut out a mask of any shape from cardboard, it can even be in the shape of a bat. Carefully glue the lace on top; by the way, black lace can be combined with red and a small amount of white. Attach the ribbons and the mask is ready. You can decorate it with rhinestones, beads, sequins, feathers, and fur. This version of the mask goes perfectly with a black dress and dark accessories.

In general, a mask can be made from anything: from gauze, bandages, toilet paper, a simple bag, in general, whatever you have enough imagination for and what you have on hand.
