DIY paper gift wrapping
The easiest, most popular and affordable material for making gift boxes – paper. Depending on the gift, it is necessary to choose its density.
For example, if you just need to wrap a gift already in the box, you can use even the thinnest paper. Anything at hand will do: newspaper, corrugated paper, colored sheets or special paper for packaging. It all depends on the imagination and skills of the person who wants to please their loved ones by making the packaging themselves. For sharp and rough objects, it is better to buy thicker paper.
The wrapping pattern for square and rectangular gifts is the same. But you can experiment with the decor.
You can also make envelopes out of paper or candy. They are more suitable for small, compact gifts.
If the gift can wrinkle or the paper packaging simply does not suit it, you can make a box.

Such festive elements dilute the monotony of craft paper and give the gift a special solemnity.
On the Valentine's Day it is customary to give gifts decorated with symbolic hearts. The box does not need to be heart-shaped either. Small details are enough, for example, a correctly selected pattern or a few decorative elements.
You can use whatever is at hand to accentuate and make your packaging more attractive.
In addition to the box itself, you should pay special attention to the gift itself. Even the most familiar things can be beautifully presented. Filler is often used for this purpose. Against its background, the gift looks more impressive and presentable.
Straw, shredded paper, cloth, sisal, raffia, wood shavings and crepe paper are commonly used for this purpose.
