Such a tool will in no way be inferior to a store one, and in some things even surpass it.
How to make hand cream with your own hands
Homemade hand creams are very effective, but you should initially realize that it will not be the same as you are used to seeing conventional store products.
First, let's talk about what ingredients make up the base for making creams and what is generally required for such a home laboratory.
Most often, the basis for the preparation of hand cream is taken:
- Butter. It helps nourish the skin, soften it and maintain its elasticity.
- Pork fat. It is an amazing skin nourishing agent. Its powerful effect allows the base to be applied to very dry and rough skin.
- Cosmetic oils: butters and liquid oils. We can talk about the benefits of cosmetic oils for a very long time and each oil has its own list of usefulness.
- Wax. An ideal base for creating a nourishing and strengthening cream for hands and nails.
- Glycerol. Known for all its moisturizing and emollient properties.
- Lanolin. A type of wax that is obtained from sheep's wool. It nourishes and softens the dermis well.
To fill the cream with useful elements, to make it as effective as possible, essential oils, honey, juices, extracts, and extracts are added to it. It is worth choosing additional ingredients based on their properties. For example:
- To create a moisturizer: decoctions and herbal infusions, patchouli and myrrh oils, glycerin.
- For a whitening agent: lemon oil or juice, milk, honey or parsley.
- For the nutritional composition, you need: honey, jojoba, coconut, sandalwood, avocado, egg yolk, sour cream and cream.
- For a caring and healing cream: oil from sea buckthorn, chamomile, plantain, tea tree, aloe.

When preparing homemade cream, it will be useful to know about some things:
- Do not neglect the use of alcohol and vodka. Many have heard that these substances cause dryness of the dermis, and in part it is. However, if you put it just a little, then no dryness will arise, but the alcohol itself will act as a good conductor of the cream's nutrients into the skin.
- Do not mix acids if you do not have sufficient knowledge in chemistry. Some combinations of acids can react and reduce the effectiveness of the prepared formulations.
- If your homemade cream contains heat-sensitive ingredients such as vitamin C or folic acid, do not heat them and add last.
You can mix the ingredients with improvised means, but it is much more convenient to use a manual cappuccinatore for such purposes. It is inexpensive, but it will provide a high-quality mixture of all components.
Now that you have mastered some basic knowledge, we suggest you prepare your first hand cream using one of the recipes below.

How to store hand cream
The only disadvantage of home-made cosmetics is that it cannot be stored for a long time, since the products deteriorate very quickly. Homemade hand cream must be kept in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid and only in the refrigerator. The shelf life of the home remedy is about 7-10 days, after which it is worth replacing the cream. Make small amounts of creams, then it will have time to finish and you will not have to throw anything away.
