Every woman has a minimal set of decorative cosmetics in her bag: mascara, lipstick, eye shadow. Each one uses their own products for everyday makeup or a festive look. But sometimes you need to quickly get yourself in order, but you don’t have the necessary tubes at hand. What to do in this case, and what means can be used not only for their intended purpose?

How to replace the base for shadows

To prevent the shadows on the eyelids from crumbling and sliding a few hours after application, use a special base product. It absorbs sebum and promotes long-lasting retention of shadows on the eyelids. The base can mask redness, pigmentation of the eyelids, and enhance the brightness and shine of shadows. The product can have a liquid, gel, or creamy texture.

If you don’t need a basic product at hand, and the event is planned to be long, then you can use the following tips:

• It is possible to replace the eyelid base with foundation. It is applied to the entire surface of the eyelid to increase the durability of makeup. If you need to make the color of the shadows brighter, use a white eyeliner.

• You can increase the durability of shadows without additional products by applying them wet. The coating will last longer and the color will be richer.
• If the skin of the eyelids is dry, then it is possible to replace the base with a colorless hygienic lipstick.
• For those with oily eyelid skin, loose powder will help. It will absorb excess fat, the pigment will not roll off.

What can you replace shadows with?

Creamy blush Excellent replacement for eye shadow. The most versatile blushes are beige and brown tones. They can be applied to the moving eyelid in one color or using a gradient technique, used for everyday or evening makeup.

Brown-beige, burgundy, light pink lipstick is an excellent replacement for eye shadow. It is better to apply the tone with a brush rather than with your fingers. This will give you a more even color and a thin layer.

How to replace lipstick

You can make an unusual color lipstick for a carnival or a photo shoot using transparent gloss or lip balm and loose eyeshadow of the desired tone.
