How to iron trousers with creases

Now you can proceed directly to ironing:

  • Turn the item inside out and place it on the ironing board. First, iron the pockets, lining and waistband well. This will help avoid creases in the fabric of the trousers in the future. Then turn the pants right side out.
  • Now iron the top of the trousers. For convenience, use a sleeve block or a narrow part of an ironing board, placing individual parts of the trousers on it.
  • After this, you can begin to iron the trouser legs themselves. Fold the two trouser legs so that all seams, internal and side, coincide with each other. Iron the trouser legs on one side; for better results, use the steam function or iron the trousers through a damp cloth.

  • Now flip your pants and walk around iron on the other side of the product. After this, iron the inside of the pant leg. To do this, fold the top leg up. Do the same with the second leg. At this stage, do not smooth the arrows.
  • Now fold the trouser legs in half again so that all the seams match. The arrows should hit exactly the dart on the trouser waistband.

  • Place the pants like this on the ironing board. Cover the crease with a damp cloth and iron it. Remove the iron and fold the trouser leg up. Iron the crease on the inside of the second leg through the dampened fabric. At the same time, do not move the iron over the fabric, it may move, and as a result you will get a double arrow. It is better to rearrange the iron, treating different areas of the fabric with it one by one.

  • Fold the pant legs again, matching the seams, and place the garment on the ironing board with the other side. Repeat the steps above.

Don’t rush to hang well-ironed trousers in the closet right away. Let them cool a little before hanging them on a hanger. To prevent the fabric at the bend of the trousers from becoming wrinkled, use a hanger with a special foam roller. This will keep your trousers neat and tidy for a long time. Women's trousers with a narrow silhouette can be ironed in the same way.
