How to paint a skirt
Dyeing fabrics is a rather topical issue of our time. During washing, due to the use of a large amount of powders and rinses with chemical components, the fabric begins to fade and lose its color and beauty. Constant exposure to sunlight affects color loss.
The easiest way is to take your items to a dry cleaner for painting. But this usually translates into a very "round" amount. You should know that you can dye the fabric yourself.

How to paint a skirt at home
Before you start painting, you need to consider such factors.
- Fabric structure. It is great if the fabric is natural, because then you will not need to worry about the fact that the color will not be taken. Synthetic fabrics may not be stained.
- Experience has shown that it is best to buy paint that is darker than the original fabric color.
- Before you paint things, you need to wash them.
- The whole process is done only with gloves.
- Always follow the directions on the label.
So, there are 2 ways to paint things: in a basin and a washing machine (this is the most popular way).
- To begin with, the paint must be diluted and poured into the drum of the washing machine.
- It is necessary to choose a suitable temperature regime, only without soaking.
- After the things are colored, they need to be rinsed in a vinegar solution.
- An empty machine must be rinsed.
- After this procedure, you do not need to wash white things in the machine for some time.
How to paint a skirt black
- You need to buy black paint.
- To color skirt, you will need about 300 g of paint.
- The skirt needs to be washed (but do not use rinse aid).
- The skirt is turned inside out and placed in the drum of the washing machine. The paint is distributed over the surface of the skirt and washing begins.
- After the entire procedure, the skirt must be dried. And then wash it again at the maximum temperature that suits the fabric of the skirt.
How to dry-clean a skirt
Not all dry cleaners provide such a service, but those who are ready to paint things should be responsible for the quality of the work done. First, specify what dyes will be used to paint (usually, this is a fairly expensive and good paint). Dry cleaning should ensure that the paint adheres to the fabric and protects against subsequent washout.
Before the procedure, the garment must go through a washing and processing step so that the dye will adhere to the fabric.
How to paint a skirt red
The staining principle is the same as in the second section. Red paint requires meticulous attention.
- Red paint is diluted in an enamel bowl with extremely soft water.
- The solution must be filtered through a cloth, so the paint will lay on the fabric much better.
- If there are brooches or other items on the skirt, they must be removed!
- Wash the skirt and remove any stains.
- Make sure that there are no faded spots on the skirt, otherwise the paint will lie unevenly, and the thing will simply deteriorate.
- After dyeing in a typewriter, the skirt must be dried and then washed again.
