In order to sew a simple chiffon skirt with an elastic band, you will need:

• chiffon about 2.5 meters;
• lining fabric 1 meter;
• underwear elastic band 2 meters;
• threads;
• scissors;
• centimeter;
• sewing machine.

What to do.

1. Cut out a piece of the desired size from the lining fabric. The length is usually made less than the length of the skirt itself, the width is equal to the circumference of your hips. Connect the ends of the piece, sew. Tuck up the bottom and sew. The lining is ready.
2. Cut out a piece of the desired size from chiffon. The length of the piece is equal to the length of the future skirt plus an allowance for seams and an elastic band. All together, the allowances will take about 15 cm. We take the width with a margin, we will form folds. Carefully scorch the edges of the chiffon with a lighter so that it does not fall off. We connect the ends of the chiffon in a circle and make a side seam.
3. In the upper part of the skirt, collect the fabric in folds. We secure each fold with a pin. We check whether the product fits with such folds. We fix the folds by basting with a thread.
4. We take the lining, connect it to the skirt. The front side of the skirt lies on the wrong side of the petticoat. Sew.
5. We turn the product onto the face. Sew 3 lines on top of the skirt, the distance between them is 1.5-2 cm. We do not do the stitching completely, leave 2 cm, a place for the elastic. So we stitched the skirt and lining together tightly.

We need:

• 1.5 meters of chiffon,

How to sew.
