How to lower blood pressure
Around the world, about 10% of the population suffers from high blood pressure. But even taking into account the frequency of this disease, it is still not fully understood. For example, it is not yet possible to give a sufficiently accurate forecast about the occurrence of this syndrome in a particular person.

Symptoms of high blood pressure
As you know, normal blood pressure in an absolutely healthy person is approximately 120 over 80 or 130 over 85. However, it is quite normal if a person experiences slight fluctuations during the day. These changes can be caused by changes in weather, or more precisely, changes in atmospheric pressure. With age, blood pressure tends to rise slightly. For example, after 60 years, a blood pressure of 150 over 90 can be considered normal.
To independently diagnose the presence of high blood pressure, it is necessary to take measurements for several days in a row and more than once a day. Then the data obtained will create a complete picture. In addition to alarming measurement data, you should definitely be wary of other symptoms:
- Headaches that occur in the morning and recur at regular intervals.
- You feel bouts of nausea and dizziness. You are bothered by tinnitus.
- You get tired quickly and become irritable.
- You can't fall asleep for a long time.
- Frequent and strong heartbeat bothers you.
- You feel a pulsation in your temples.
- Your face turns red and you may sweat or, conversely, feel chilly.
- Due to constant fluid retention, the face becomes swollen and puffy.
- You often feel numbness in your skin or crawling sensations.
Tea that lowers blood pressure
It is useful to drink black or green tea in order to normalize blood pressure. If you have a headache or migraine from high blood pressure, you should drink a cup of this aromatic drink to lower your blood pressure. But only brew tea in a weak concentration, because strong tea, on the contrary, increases blood pressure.
According to oriental medicine experts, it is best to drink green tea if you have high blood pressure. It promotes the breakdown of cholesterol. Long-term consumption of green tea helps blood vessels - it makes them more elastic. To feel the effect of green tea, you need to drink at least half a liter per day. This drink contains caffeine and flavonoids, which have a good effect on the circulatory system.
Hibiscus tea, made from hibiscus, is also beneficial for hypertensive patients. It lowers cholesterol, normalizes blood pressure and helps restore vascular walls. In addition, this drink has a bactericidal effect on the body and gradually brings blood pressure to normal levels. Hypertensive patients benefit from hibiscus tea only when it is hot and at least two cups per day.
Tablets that lower blood pressure
People with high blood pressure should monitor their condition at all times and, if necessary, use medications to correct it. The choice of a particular drug should be made only by a specialist after taking into account all the symptoms. It is he who will determine which group of drugs can be used in your particular case.
Among the most common drugs that lower blood pressure are the following:
- If there is a very rapid change in blood pressure, when there is a serious risk of stroke or heart attack, immediate assistance is required. This is exactly the effect that the drug Captopril has. It must be placed under the patient’s tongue and then monitor the dynamics of changes in blood pressure.
- Another good drug that quickly relieves arterial pressure is Nifedipine. It should be chewed and washed down with water. Within about half an hour, noticeable relief should occur. If this does not happen, then you should repeat the drug.
- Anaprilin tablets are also good for reducing blood pressure. But keep in mind that this drug is contraindicated in patients with diseased lungs and heart failure.
- To stop an attack of angina, you can use the well-known drug Nitroglycerin. It dilates blood vessels and thus reduces blood pressure. This medicine works especially well for people with heart disease and high blood pressure at the same time.
Folk remedies that lower blood pressure
When you don’t have the necessary medications at hand and you need to quickly help a person with high blood pressure, traditional methods will come to the rescue. One of the most effective is apple cider vinegar. Just soak a piece of cloth in it and apply it to the patient's feet. After some time, relief will definitely come.
You can prepare in advance a mixture of equal parts of valocordin, tinctures of valerian, hawthorn and motherwort. At the first symptoms of a high blood pressure attack, you should take a small sip of this medicine.
To dilate blood vessels and thus reduce pressure, mustard plasters can be applied to the area of the shoulders and calves. If there is nothing at hand at all, then just do breathing exercises. While sitting in a comfortable position, inhale deeply and exhale slowly. It must last at least 7 seconds. Do this exercise for three minutes and you can reduce your blood pressure by about 20 units.
How to quickly lower blood pressure
If you don’t have any means at hand, then make contrast baths for legs. First, put your feet in hot water for 2 minutes, and then in cold water for half a minute. Repeat this 5 times. The temperature difference will cause the expansion of blood vessels and have a positive effect on their elasticity. As a result pressure will decrease.
You can simply direct a weak stream of warm water to the back of the patient's head for five minutes. Hot water baths for hands for a quarter of an hour help.
To stabilize your blood pressure, make it a habit to drink a couple of glasses of warm water every morning on an empty stomach.
