You can use elecampane for colds, for the treatment of gastritis, liver diseases, as well as for ailments of the gallbladder. With the help of this plant, you can cure hemorrhoids, normalize the menstrual cycle, get rid of rheumatism and support the health of patients with diabetes.

Elecampane has the strongest antimicrobial and antihelminthic properties. It is especially recommended to use it to cure roundworm infection. In folk medicine, drugs based on elecampane were advised to be used for heart disorders, to get rid of headaches, to alleviate the condition with epilepsy, and also to eliminate the risk of premature birth.

Contraindications elecampane

Like any other medicinal plant, elecampane cannot be taken by everyone. There are a number of contraindications in which it is better to refuse the use of funds based on elecampane:

• In case of serious diseases of blood vessels and heart muscle, elecampane should not be taken. Self-medication with this plant in this case can greatly worsen the patient's condition.
• A contraindication to the use of elecampane is also considered pregnancy or the period when a woman feeds toddler breasts.

• The elecampane plant has a strong diuretic effect, therefore it is not recommended to use it in case of renal diseases.
• Preparations from elecampane lower acidity, therefore, in case of stomach diseases accompanied by low acidity of gastric juice, they cannot be taken.
• Women are not advised to take elecampane with abundant menstruation.
• With low blood pressure, it is also not recommended to use funds with elecampane.

Application of elecampane

For medicinal purposes, elecampane is used in various forms. You can prepare an infusion, decoction, ointment, or crush the rhizome into powder. To prepare the infusion, the elecampane rhizome must be cut into pieces, you will need 1 small spoon. This amount of raw materials must be poured with a quarter liter of cold water and left to brew for 8 hours. After straining, the product can be drunk 50 ml four times a day. It will help cure coughs, relieve diarrhea and improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. Infusion of elecampane - excellently reduces blood pressure, helps with hemorrhoids and can be used for a variety of skin ailments.

A scanty amount of dry elecampane root, ground into powder, must be taken twice a day, washed down with water. Just 1 g of powder will help to cope with hypertension, cure cholecystitis, hepatitis, ulcers and colitis.

To heal wounds and skin diseases, an ointment from a healing rhizome is used. It is prepared in small portions and stored in the refrigerator. For such an ointment, you need to mix a large spoonful of dry crushed root with 4 tablespoons of bacon and boil for a quarter of an hour. Then the agent is filtered hot and the affected areas are smeared with this ointment.

For colds and diseases of the stomach, a decoction of elecampane helps well. Crushed raw materials in the amount of 1 spoon are poured with a glass of water and boiled for a quarter of an hour, then insisted for 3 hours and filtered. The product is taken warm three times a day.

Red wine tincture is useful as a remedy for general strengthening and for the treatment of stomach diseases. To do this, pour 120 grams of rhizomes with half a liter of red wine and boil for 10 minutes, and then filter. The product should be drunk 50 ml twice a day.

Another version of the tincture is made with vodka. For her, you will need 250 g of crushed raw materials, which are poured with a half-liter bottle of vodka and insisted in a warm place for 2 weeks. All this time periodically it is necessary to shake the bottle. The tincture should be taken in 15 drops, diluted with water, three times a day.
