Oak bark is often used as a component of home cosmetology products, especially to improve the condition of curls. It allows you to successfully combat dandruff and strengthens hair well. Most often, decoctions are made from crushed bark that activate the growth of new hairs and stop them prolapse and warning section. In addition, the astringent and tanning components of the bark help eliminate excess greasiness in the hair.

Use of oak bark for hair

Preparing the decoction is quite simple: pour boiling water over pieces of bark and leave to steep for half an hour. Before rinsing your hair with this liquid, you must strain it and wash your hair thoroughly.
There is another option for preparing a decoction that is beneficial for hair. In this case, the contents of the pharmaceutical packaging of the bark are placed in a saucepan and half a liter of hot water is poured into it. Now place the pan in a water bath and simmer for about half an hour. After this, the broth is cooled for two hours and filtered. This decoction is good to use for rubbing into the root part of the strands. It perfectly retains its healing properties for 3 days if left in the refrigerator.
For a light coloring effect, crushed oak bark is good to use on dark hair. It allows you to enhance the brightness of the shade of natural dark hair and at the same time has a nourishing effect.
The coloring process is performed as follows:
- Mix 2 large spoons of bark pieces and 1 large spoon of onion peels. Add boiling water in the amount of 1 cup. The mixture is heated in a water bath for 20 minutes, then allowed to cool and filtered.
- Cover the entire mass of curls with the finished product and place them under plastic wrap for an hour.
- Wash off the product with running water.
This dyeing method is not suitable for those with light hair.
