Depending on the final result you want from using shea butter, you can combine it with fruits, vegetables, milk, honey or any other product. The basic techniques for using shea butter are as follows:
- If you plan to use fragrant oil as one of the components of the mask, then you need to melt it with a water bath or over low heat. If you want to use shea butter in its pure form, it is enough to warm it slightly with your palms so that the hard block melts slightly.
- The melted butter must be immediately mixed with the rest of the mask ingredients. Otherwise, it will harden again very quickly. Then it will already be impossible to mix it with other components. To prevent lumps from forming, it is more convenient to use a blender for mixing.
- Before applying masks the face must be steamed with a steam bath or a hot, damp towel. For the best effect, cleanse your skin with any scrub.
- The oil is applied to the skin only in the direction of the massage lines. At the same time, shea butter in its pure form can also be applied to the skin of the eyelids and to the red border of the lips.
- Mask or pure shea butter should be left on the face for up to 60 minutes.
- To remove the product, it is better to use a damp cloth moistened with water or milk.
- Then the skin should be rinsed with warm water and patted dry with a cloth.
