Soothing face masks
Our face is daily exposed to a variety of negative factors, such as heat or frost, wind, dust, solar ultraviolet light, hard tap water. From all this, the pores on the delicate skin of the face become clogged, it begins to dry, peel off, become inflamed and requires urgent "resuscitation". Here special soothing masks will come to the rescue, which will be discussed in our article.
A soothing facial mask at home
Absolutely all women, regardless of skin type, need soothing facials. The most effective remedy in this case will be the regular use of hand-made masks.
However, in order not to harm your delicate skin in any way, you need to pay attention to several main points:
- It is recommended to use soothing masks only a couple of times a week, as their frequent use can have the opposite effect.
- Before applying the composition, you just need to wash your face with your favorite gel or foam, or use micellar water.
- In the presence of a rash, acne and other problems, it is worth including an antiseptic component in the mask (ether of any citrus, lavender).
- Sensitive skin prone to dryness "loves" dairy ingredients - yogurt, kefir, sour cream.
In the following sections of the article, we will share with you recipes for simple but effective masks that you can easily prepare yourself.
Face mask with honey
Honey- one of the main "treasures" of cosmetologists. Thanks to its nourishing and soothing properties, it is simply irreplaceable when you need to remove irritation from the skin of the face, as well as moisturize and tone it at the same time.
However, before using honey it is imperative to conduct an allergy test for the sensitivity of the skin to its effects.
We present to your attention several recipes for very effective masks with honey:
- Mask and yogurt. Mix 20 grams of natural yoghurt, 25 grams of liquid honey and 5-6 drops of olive or any other vegetable oil you find in your kitchen. After application, leave the mask to "work" for a quarter of an hour, and then rinse with lukewarm water.
- For skin prone to acne and pimples... Mix one medium potato (boiled in a peel, peeled and mashed with a fork) with a teaspoon of honey, a tablespoon of sour cream (room temperature) and one raw chicken egg white. Apply the mixture in a thick layer to the skin and rinse off after 20 minutes.
- From swelling and redness after cleaning procedures... Add a couple of teaspoons of honey and one teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice to the pounded raw yolk. In this recipe, lemon can be replaced with grated pulp or juice aloe... The action of the mask lasts only 15 minutes, then the composition can be washed off with warm water.
Masks with oils
Essential oils perfectly soothe not only the nervous system, but also the irritated skin of our face. They perfectly eliminate redness, flaking, itching and generally have a healing effect.
We present to you two great recipes for masks with different natural oils:
- The basis in this composition is avocado oil - 15 ml. To it you need to add a couple of drops of lavender oil and the same amount of patchouli oil. With the resulting liquid, moisten a cotton pad well and gently wipe your face. After 10 minutes, gently blot the skin with a tissue to remove the remnants of the mask.
- A tablespoon of ground oatmeal must be combined with two large spoons of kefir (at least 2.5% fat). This mixture should stand for 15 minutes, and then pour in half a teaspoon of honey and four drops of rose essential oil. Apply the mask to your face, and after a quarter of an hour, rinse with warm water.
