How to cook gingerbread
The recipe for this delicacy is extremely simple. Even a novice hostess can handle it, and any wallet can handle the list of products.
The gingerbreads are lazy. Grocery list:
- wheat flour 750 g;
- vanillin 1 sachet;
- baking powder - at the tip of a knife;
- egg 2 pcs.;
- water 100 ml;
- butter 50 g;
- sugar 150 g;
- honey 50 g;
- cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger - to taste.
I would like to immediately note that it is not worth saving or being afraid to overdo it with honey and spices. Each spice needs at least 1 tbsp in the dough.
Preparation:
- In a small saucepan, combine water, vanilla, honey and sugar. Boil the resulting mixture. Then boil down to the consistency of liquid honey.
- While the sweet mixture is cooking, prepare the flour. Sieve it through a sieve into a large bowl. Add baking powder and spices.
- Separate the yolks from the whites. Add the first to the dough. The proteins come in handy for the glaze.
- When the sweet mixture thickens, remove from heat and add butter. Let cool.
- Combine flour and honey liquid. The dough should be pretty steep. Try for sweetness and enough spice. The main thing here is to resist and eat the dough right away. Because the base turns out to be surprisingly aromatic, and very tasty, even raw.
- The easiest way to bake gingerbread is to spoon it onto a baking sheet. Which must be covered with baking paper and well oiled. Also, the dough can be rolled out and cut out absolutely any figures - animals, little men. You can just roll the balls.
- Prepare the icing. Apply to gingerbread. If you want, you can add food coloring and paint the gingerbread as you like.
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Place the gingerbread baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Do not diminish the fire.
The best thing is to turn off the stove and let the gingerbread cookies cool without opening it.
How to make gingerbread frosting
The easiest glaze recipe is custard
Required:
- proteins from 2 eggs;
- sugar 50 g;
- small ladle;
- pan.
How to cook:
- Combine sugar and egg whites.
- Place in a water bath and keep stirring.
- Keep on fire for 5 minutes.
- Then remove and stir for another 7-10 minutes.
Lemon frosting recipe
Grocery list:
- icing sugar 450 g;
- butter 100 g;
- lemon juice 2 tbsp l.
Preparation:
- Mix all ingredients.
- Beat until mixture mass increases.
