Let's get acquainted with the main trends in interior design and present the main features typical for different interior styles.

Modern style in the interior

The modern direction is flexible, has no narrow frames and combines several directions. Its main features are:

  • open plan and lots of free space;
  • the use of straight lines, angles, clear shapes in the interior;
  • the use of plain textiles;
  • windows without curtains;
  • light pastel colors;
  • minimal use of accessories;
  • monochromatic glossy furniture facades.

The walls of the room in a modern style are finished with decorative plaster, painted or pasted over with plain wallpaper. To increase decorativeness, it is possible to create niches, drywall shelves. Any material with gloss is used as a floor covering, carpets are rare, with the exception of designer products with an unusual texture or geometric pattern. A suspended or tensioned structure is installed on the ceiling, monochromatic or a combination of light colors.

The main decoration of the interior is expensive furniture. A rectangular bed with a low headboard, a high sliding wardrobe with mirrored doors are installed in the bedroom. Country music combines the simplicity of a country house with the peculiarities of the stylistics of different countries. The main rule of design is the absence of pretentious elements with an overall high functionality of the interior.

  • the use of natural materials: wood, stone, textiles, ceramic tiles;
  • curtains and upholstery of furniture have a pattern in polka dots, a flower, a cage;
  • the main color palette consists of warm tones, soothing and relaxing;
  • the use of rough painted furniture or wickerwork, preferably with antique elements.

It is recommended to whitewash the ceiling or sheathe it with a wooden board, followed by painting.   • No curtains or very transparent light curtains. Such curtains let in a lot of light and look elegant. It is possible to use roller blinds, blinds.

Minimalist interior

The minimalist trend is considered one of the "coldest", the rooms are decorated in black, white, asphalt colors. It is distinguished by its conciseness, simplicity and accuracy. 61 The decoration is carried out with natural materials, in compliance with geometric shapes and small volumes.

Its characteristic features:

  • Simple and clear lines, minimal decor.
