Healthy snacks
The classic three meals a day is giving way to split meals. Fighters for a healthy figure claim that it is better to eat small portions several times a day than to “eat your fill” in one or two meals. But in matters of nutrition, one should not go to extremes; it is better to combine both principles, taking as a basis three main meals and several small snacks. Here are the basic rules, following which you will not need diets and medications from gastritis.
Proper snacks 
A proper snack is a small meal that saturates the body and helps you survive until lunch or dinner without fainting from hunger. A healthy person needs two snacks a day, including a second breakfast and an afternoon snack. Short intervals between meals prevent you from getting too hungry: in turn, the body adjusts to energy consumption rather than storing fat. This is why frequent snacking not only has a positive effect on the functioning of the digestive system, but also helps you get rid of extra pounds.
Important to know:a snack does not mean eating food in a hurry and on the run. Take a special time for lunch, sit at the table, take a break from work, change the environment. Under no circumstances sit down with food in front of the TV or at the computer, while simultaneously looking through email and finishing things up. If possible, combine business with pleasure: a short walk and an afternoon snack in the park will give you strength and put you in a productive mood.
Healthy snacks for losing weight 
You should not choose high-calorie foods for snacking, including sweets, buns, cakes, candies and fried pies. It is better to give preference to light and tasty products, not harmful to the figure. These can be vegetables or fruits, fresh or baked, bread with low-fat cheese, biscuits, a scoop of ice cream or cottage cheese with pear. For those who prefer an early dinner (before 18:00), it is worth having an additional snack before bed (to keep your conscience clear and your stomach full). A glass of milk with honey, kefir or low-fat yogurt, fruit puree, vegetable salad dressed with lemon juice will do.
Healthy snacks at work 
The modern rhythm of life sometimes leads to incorrect eating habits. Snacks in a hurry do not provide adequate satiety, because of this, dinner becomes the most high-calorie meal of the day. How can you not treat yourself to a large portion of something tasty before bed? In this mode, the digestive system is gradually “exhausted”, and excess weight will not take long to appear.
When there is no time for a snack in your daily routine, you can take light snacks with you to refresh yourself while you work. Drinkable yoghurts, biscuits or fruits are suitable for such a lunch. Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy halva, eat a handful of dried fruits or drink a cup of green tea with marmalade.
At work, snacks should be given special attention: their purpose is not only to saturate the body, but also to nourish it with energy. This rule is especially important for those who prefer to sleep longer and get by with a cup of coffee for breakfast. The body will work for wear and tear, and the energy charge will be insufficient to withstand the pre-lunch period on an empty stomach. In this case, you should pay attention to nutritious foods. This includes cheese, yoghurts (preferably homemade), cottage cheese, bananas. Nuts will maintain your overall tone and prevent you from getting too hungry. But don’t get carried away, remembering their high calorie content.
