Home Health Psychosomatics - what is it and can it be treated?

Diseases, where do they come from? Some believe that this is the result of poor nutrition or a consequence of addiction to bad habits. But then why are there many people who fall ill with serious and even fatal diseases, while adhering to all the rules of a healthy lifestyle? There is a theory on this matter, which is also confirmed by practice, that diseases are the result of the activity of the person himself, but not of an external, but of an internal nature. And you can get rid of the disease, even the most severe one, on your own, without surgery or medications.

Psychosomatics of diseases

What is psychosomatics? This is an area of medicine and psychology that studies the influence of problems from psychology on human physiology. Absolutely all diseases can be psychosomatic, ranging from colds and ending with serious illnesses like cancer.

The first mention of psychosomatics was dated in 1818, after which the field began to be replenished with new experiments and research. However, to this day modern specialists continue to study it, which is reflected in high-quality treatment and complete recovery of patients.

Causes of psychosomatics

According to one of the classifications presented by Leslie LeCrone, there are basically seven basic causes that cause psychosomatics:

  • Reason #1 is conflict. This type can be characterized simply - a person’s conflict with himself. A simple example of this is when people do not live the way they really want, profess other people’s values, views on the world, etc.
  • Reason #2 is motivation. This category includes cases where the disease brings a certain benefit to the person himself. The symptom manifests itself subconsciously; the person does not deceive or simulate, but in the same subconscious he pursues a certain goal. For example, he knows that only illness can attract attention, care and love, but as soon as he recovers, everyone will forget about him. But since this happens unconsciously, the person cannot recover.
  • Reason #3 - past experience. This type of psychosomatics can originate from distant childhood, or begin from a moment of severe psychological trauma. What a person experienced for a long time and painfully, but at the same time everything has long passed and been forgotten, is expressed in his body and feelings now. This can be compared to phantom pain, which is often diagnosed in people after limb amputation. Even many years after the operation, when all systems have managed to improve, some complain of pain in a limb that has been gone for a long time.  234364_56b3302971bd856b3302971c13
  • Reason #4 - body language. Thus, the body and body physically react to how and what their owner says. For example, phrases such as “yes, this is a headache”, “my heart is not in the right place”, “my hands are tied here”, “I can’t digest them”, etc. with regular repetition, they begin to be projected onto the physical plane exactly in the place that was discussed.
  • Reason #5 - identification. This type of psychosomatics often manifests itself with a strong emotional attachment to a sick person, but not always. What this means is that if a healthy person spends a long time with another individual who suffers, for example, from a cold, then soon the healthy person will begin to feel the symptoms of that same cold, but this will not happen due to infection, but due to identification. Therefore, the closer a person is spiritually, the greater the chance of being “infected.”
  • Reason #6 - self-punishment. There are cases when psychosomatic symptoms appear as self-punishment. Guilt can be real, but often it is an imaginary feeling of guilt, when a person is not guilty of anything, but he himself thinks otherwise. By punishing himself, the individual becomes a little easier, but his life deteriorates.
  • Reason number 7 - suggestion. Symptoms of a certain disease can manifest themselves in a person through self-hypnosis. He gets the idea that he is sick, after which, on a subconscious level, he begins to feel all the symptoms, feel how the affected area (organ) hurts, although in reality he does not hurt and may be absolutely healthy. This type of problem also affects hypochondriacs, who inspire the disease so strongly that they begin to seriously suffer from the symptoms of the disease.

person

The cause of psychosomatics should be considered not as a generalized element, but separately for each ailment. As an example, let's look at several causes of individual diseases:

  • According to the psychosomatic reference book, allergies occur in cases when a person cannot stand someone or denies his own strength, when he tries to protest against something, but cannot express himself. It also happens that a child develops allergies if his parents argued very often and looked at the world with completely different eyes.
  • Anemia develops in those in whose life there is no sense of joy, fear of life and no self-confidence.
  • Sore throat makes itself felt in cases where a person tries to refrain from rude words, or is angry that he cannot take control of the situation.
  • Vegetative-vascular dystonia develops against the background of a large number of childhood fears.
  • Sinusitis is suppressed self-pity, as well as a prolonged course of a situation where one gets the impression that the whole world is against the person.

Thus, the reference books cover absolutely all diseases and health problems. There is no doubt that psychosomatics is not a fiction and that it works one hundred percent. The main thing in this matter is to be frank with yourself. Many do not want to admit the obvious, thereby only exacerbating the problems. You can find reference books on psychosomatics freely available on the Internet, where you can read them for free, or purchase them in paper form at a bookstore.

Psychosomatics in children

Having learned more about psychosomatics, many may think about children. Most of the problems that are described in reference books can only be relevant to the adult part of the population. It turns out that psychosomatics is only for adults? Not at all! Despite the fact that many perceive children simply as children, they are still individuals who are not much different from adults. The only difference is in the level of requests: a child suffers just as much from the fact that he does not have a fashionable toy car, just like an adult who has long dreamed of a car. It’s just that everyone considers the other’s desires not so significant, but in terms of the level of stress experienced, everything is similar.

Psychosomatics often manifests itself in children when they cannot satisfy their own needs. In this case, negative emotional arousal is formed. All this is transferred to physical processes, which can turn into pathology, which is explained by the direct connection between the emotional and physical planes. This is easy to check; just remember the situations when you yourself begin to experience fear. What happens then? Heart rate and breathing quicken, sweating increases, and abdominal cramps occur. Thus, anxiety arising on an emotional background is immediately reflected in physiology. This is the principle on which psychosomatics works on both adults and children.

If energy comes from nowhere, then it does not go anywhere, which means that having originated inside, all this will regularly accumulate, which will ultimately result in illness. This will continue until the negative energy is transformed into positive energy.

However, if an adult can read a book, reflect on his life, realize the problem and begin to work through it, then with children everything is more complicated. They are not yet developed enough to understand such complex things, so treatment should take place under the supervision of a psychologist who will conduct conversations with the baby.

Oddly enough, psychosomatic illness can manifest itself even in infants; moreover, it can be established in the mother’s womb. The disease is especially pronounced in babies whose birth was not expected, or who even tried to have an abortion (intentional miscarriage). Therefore, in order for the baby to be born healthy and full of strength, it is very important for the expectant mother to ensure a psycho-emotional mood. She should be in harmony with others, eliminate nerves and frustration, be more happy and enjoy life. Otherwise, there is a high probability that the baby will either be born with the pathology immediately, or it will manifest itself in childhood.

Reasons for the manifestation of psychosomatics in children are a dime a dozen. Neglect of the child’s interests by parents and those around them, giving too little attention to the child. Even if parents love their child very much, but are forced to constantly leave him with grandparents and nannies, since they themselves need to constantly work, it is not at all surprising that the child will often suffer from colds. When a child is sick, at these moments parents begin to worry and try to spend as much time as possible with the sick person. So, frequent illnesses of this nature in children in most cases indicate a lack of parental love, warmth and care.

How to treat psychosomatics

It is useless to treat psychosomatics by using medications and traditional medicine methods. Yes, there may be relief for a while, but after a little time in the “illness” there will definitely be a relapse. In this case, they often talk about chronic diseases that cannot be treated. To some extent, this is true, because until a person works through the real root of the problem that led to the illness, he will not be able to become absolutely healthy.

A visit to an experienced psychotherapy specialist shows good effectiveness in the treatment of psychosomatic diseases. It will help to identify the reason that became the starting point and resolve the situation. It is worth saying that this process is not fast, but very effective. Of course, it is possible to cure yourself, but for an unprepared person this is unlikely to be possible, so it is better to trust a professional.

Symptoms of psychosomatics

Symptoms of psychosomatics appear depending on the disease itself. If it is a cold, all the symptoms characteristic of it, etc., are observed. across the entire list of diseases.
