How to clean a dishwasher

If the water is too hard, increase the dosage of detergent.

As a preventive measure against limescale on parts of the dishwasher, it must be periodically run on a wash cycle with baking soda, vinegar or citric acid. In this case, you do not need to put dishes in it. After the end of the cycle, clean the unit from the appeared dirt and start another cycle without detergents.

To prevent mold from forming, leave the door ajar after each use and dry the inside of the unit chamber well. If mold does appear, start a wash cycle using a whitening product.

If rust appears on the metal baskets of the dishwasher, they must be covered with a special paint with a sealant effect. If there are a lot of traces of rust, then the best option is to replace the baskets with new ones.
