How to make a sandbox with a lid

A sandbox with a lid is made in the same way as an ordinary sandbox. It's just that a lid is also attached to it. It is not required, but it is still better to have it. Since it helps the sand stay clean longer, and a properly made lid, also dry.

An awning can be used as a cover for a sandbox. It will protect dirt, but in heavy rain it is unlikely to help from moisture. And besides, it will have to be constantly pulled on the sandbox, which is not very convenient.

A more convenient and frequently used option is a board cover. It is made from several shields. They are held together by hinges. Outside, handles are attached to them for convenience. If you unfold such a cover, it turns into a bench.

There is another cover option. It is done as follows:

  1. The diameter of the sandbox is measured and four thin beams are knocked down by the standards. They should form a square.
  2. A thick film is attached to it with a construction stapler from above, and a tarp is on top of it.
  3. All this is pressed along the edges by another bar and gets lost.
  4. The handles are attached to the lid so that it is more convenient for you to grip.

The lid is ready. Its plus is that it is very light and even a child of five years old can handle it.
