How to make a children's sandbox
Before you start building, you need to decide on a place. This should be a small area, closed from wind and draft. You should not hide the sandbox in bushes or thickets, it should be in a well-lit area, it is best to do it near a tree so that it is both light and a little shaded.
After you have found a place, you need to prepare materials, you will need four pegs, a tape measure, a rope, boards (bars), nails.

- Use pegs to measure the area for the sandbox. Secure it with rope.
- Remove the top soil, about thirty centimeters. And in the center, dig a hole sixty centimeters deep and forty centimeters in diameter.

- From the sides of the sandbox, a slight slope is made to the middle, so that after the rain it does not stand in a swamp, but dries out quickly.

- After the foundation is laid, the sides are erected. They can be made from planks or laid out from beams. The second option is much easier and safer, since it does not require additional nailing.

An awning can be used as a cover for a sandbox. It will protect dirt, but in heavy rain it is unlikely to help from moisture. And besides, it will have to be constantly pulled on the sandbox, which is not very convenient.
A more convenient and frequently used option is a board cover. It is made from several shields. They are held together by hinges. Outside, handles are attached to them for convenience. If you unfold such a cover, it turns into a bench.
