The simplest skirt with an elastic band is a half sun. The rules for constructing a pattern for it are very similar to the previous model. But since we will have an elastic band instead of a zipper, the waist will have to be increased, otherwise it will be impossible to put on the skirt.

For patterns fold the fabric in half along the length, with the right side inward. The fold of the fabric will be at the top. The upper right corner is point O. From it we draw two circles. The first, with a radius of OT, is the waist line. OT = Waist / 3.14. Important! In this calculation, the waist should be increased at least to the volume of the hips, and if you want a fluffy skirt, you can double it.

Next, measure the length of the product from the waistline. We make allowances for seams along the waistline and bottom.

Sew a new thing for little fashionista not difficult at all. All you need is a small piece of fabric that looks the same from the front and the wrong side, and a little time.

• Cut out a rectangle, the width of which is double the waist or hips (whichever is greater) + 2 cm, the length is double the length of the skirt + 3 cm.
• We sew a rectangle into a pipe along the long side with the front side inward.
• We turn it out, bend it almost in half, so that part of the pipe is inside. The outer skirt should be slightly longer than the inner skirt.
• We retreat from the fold 3 centimeters under the belt and sew round, stepping back a centimeter from the seam. We finish the line a centimeter before the seam - this gap is needed to insert an elastic band into the belt.
• Insert the rubber band.
