How to knit a children's sweater: a detailed master class
Girls have a love for beautiful things since childhood. Everyone strives to imitate their mother and look stylish and beautiful. Today I propose to knit an interesting sweater pattern that will appeal to many fashionistas. Knitting a product is not difficult, you can choose the pattern that you like best, but do not forget to count the loops correctly, because with a different density of yarn their number changes.
In this case, the winter version of the Premiere yarn from Pekhorka was used. The thread is thick, but quite soft; designs with braids, diamonds and other three-dimensional shapes look good. The high collar lies beautifully.
Collar and top of the sweater
For a sweater for a 6-year-old girl, I needed 2 skeins of yarn.
The product is knitted like raglan. As you know, there are two options for knitting raglan from the bottom and from the top. I used the second method. To do this, cast on 52 loops on circular knitting needles and knit 12 cm with an English elastic band. If you use thinner yarn, the number of loops will be greater. Therefore, after knitting a little, try it on so that the head fits freely into the circle.
This turned out to be the collar of the product. The bulky yarn makes it soft, soft and cozy. Now, the main thing is to correctly distribute the loops into four parts (front, back and two sleeves). If you have a different number of loops, then distribute them yourself. Please note that the number of loops for raglan does not need to be increased, but on the back and front we leave twice as many loops as on the sleeves.
I got it like this: 12 loops for a “braid” pattern, 4 loops for a raglan, 6 loops for a sleeve, 4 loops for a raglan, 12 loops for a “braid” pattern, 4 loops for a raglan, 6 loops for a sleeve, 4 loops for a raglan. Knit the product down, adding one loop on each side of the raglan until you knit it to the level of the armhole. When adding loops, do not forget about the pattern. Even with thick yarn I got 170 loops.
The figure of the “braid” is shown below, the designations are standard:
- - purl stitch;
- o - yarn over;
- empty square - facial surface;
- in the ninth row the braid is intertwined;
- and between the yarn overs, knit 2 loops together, 1 stretch.
Knit the sleeves using purl stitch, i.e. knit purl stitches on the front side, and knit stitches on the purl side. If you have thinner yarn, you can try knitting a “pearl pattern”.
Having knitted the required number of rows to the armhole, bind off the loops on the sleeves and continue knitting down in the round until the end of the product. Close the loops.
The girl's sweater is ready!
