Finger massage has its origins in oriental medicine, which in turn is based on the theory of treating the body through manipulation of energy flows in the body. That is, it is not necessary to work on the whole body, it is enough to select only certain areas. So, for example, a certain finger on the hand means some organ or mental state. Therefore, in order to cope with, say, a pain in the head, you should not immediately grab pills. Sometimes just a hand massage is enough.

So why should you turn to alternative medicine and massage your fingers? It's simple. In order to cope with existing diseases and prevent possible ones.

Doctors at one cancer center in Kentucky noticed that people fighting cancer and using finger massage felt better. They experience less pain, nausea, and stress. Positive changes occurred much more often than others.

Before you start massaging your fingers, you should study which one is responsible for what:

  • thumb massage helps to establish and improve brain function, as well as avoid migraines and headaches;
  • index finger - this is the correct functioning of the stomach;
  • middle finger - work of the intestinal tract;
  • the ring finger helps regulate the functioning of the liver;
  • little finger - the work of the heart.

The massage is quite easy to do and you don’t need to spend an hour a day on it. Just spend a couple of minutes on your fingers every morning, for example applying cream to hands. You need to massage your fingers in a circular motion, starting from the base and moving up to the tips.

It doesn't take much time to get a massage. Simply raise your hands in front of you, massage each finger and turn palm to palm.   Then begin to twist your hands away from you, while alternately bending and straightening your fingers.

Rub your palm against your palm. Place one finger on top of the other one at a time. That is, to the large index finger, to the middle index finger, and so on.   This must be done carefully, helping yourself with the other hand. And also carefully straighten your fingers. When you begin to be able to do the exercise without using your other hand, you can try massaging both hands at the same time.

Use the ball of your middle finger to reach the crease between your thumb and index finger. This way it will be bent. Next, place your thumb on top of your middle finger. Straighten your free fingers, but just enough so that they don’t feel tight or uncomfortable. Hold your hands like this for a couple of minutes. Then massage your fingers together with your palms. For best results, do this several times.

For muscle and joint pain

The middle finger needs to be massaged and given a bent position. In this case, its pad should touch the base of the thumb. Then, as it were, cover your middle finger with your thumb. Straighten your free fingers. Relax and remain in this position for about ten minutes. If you feel tired, straighten your fingers, give them a little rest and repeat the exercise.

A couple of hours after such a simple massage you you'll feel better.
