Apple marmalade recipe 1

Apple marmalade is a fairly universal delicacy. Therefore, if you wish, you can slightly change the cooking time and temperature. And it won’t be marmalade, but marshmallow or jam. Moreover, they are absolutely natural and healthy. After all, they do not contain a single gram of chemical dyes or flavors.

It’s worth noting that there is nothing easier than a homemade marmalade recipe. To make it you will need only 2 ingredients:

  • sugar, based on a kilogram for every 1.5-2 kg of raw materials;
  • apples 2 kg, more sour varieties harden faster.

How to cook:

  1. Many recipes call for simply boiling apples and then pureeing them. But in the end you will end up with a rather wet mass, the liquid from which will take a long time to evaporate.
  2. Preheat the oven to 120 degrees.
  3. Remove the cores from the apples and place them on a baking sheet or in a heat-resistant dish, close to each other.
  4. Place the pan with apples in the oven. Bake for 30-40 minutes at the same temperature.
  5. Chop the finished apples. If you rub the raw materials through a sieve, the marmalade will be more tender. But to speed it up, you can simply grind it with a blender.
  6. Place the puree in a wide saucepan and add sugar. You should not use aluminum cookware for this - the dish will have an aftertaste.
  7. Stir thoroughly and turn on the heat to low.
  8. Cook the mixture for 1.5-2 hours, stirring every 10-15 minutes with a wooden spatula. The apples should thicken.
  9. It’s easy to check the readiness of the future marmalade. Place a couple of drops of the mixture on a piece of paper. If after 10 minutes the droplets harden and become elastic, the dish is ready.
  10. Pour the finished treat into jars and close with nylon lids. This dessert should be stored in a cool place.

If you want to make fancy marmalade, then pour the finished product into a mold lined with baking paper. Next, the raw material must be dried, the time depends on the amount of liquid in the original mixture. The finished marmalade layer can be cut into pieces, or you can use special molds to make figures or letters out of it.

Roll the pieces in powdered sugar or just sand. For added flavor, you can add mint during production. It will turn out very tasty.
