Probably every girl, at least once in her life, was puzzled by the question of how to cook something tasty, but taking into account the concern for her figure. There are many such recipes, especially now that pumpkins are ripe. In this master class you will learn what pie is and how to prepare it from pumpkin.

Pie, translated from American, means pie. In American traditions, the pie is prepared not on a baking sheet, but in a special form. The dough for it must be liquid. As a rule, the filling is placed at the bottom of the mold, which is filled with dough. The Russian version is the classic charlotte.

How to cook easy pumpkin pie 1

Product List:

  • fresh pumpkin 400 g;
  • egg 4 pcs;
  • semolina 100 g;
  • cinnamon to taste;
  • orange zest 1 tbsp;
  • sugar to taste.

Preparation:

  1. Peel the pumpkin from peel and seeds. Cut into cubes, add water and cook. By the way, you shouldn’t throw away the seeds - this is a good source phytoestrogens.2
  2. The pumpkin is cooked for about 20 minutes, depending on the hardness of the fibers. When the product becomes soft, turn off the heat and drain off excess water. The pulp must be crushed into puree using a blender or a regular potato masher. 5
  3. While the main ingredient is cooking, pour the semolina into a dry frying pan and place on the lowest heat. Fry until creamy, 7-10 minutes. 4
  4. Beat the eggs into the pumpkin puree one at a time, add zest and cinnamon. Sugar needs to be added if the pumpkin is not very sweet. 6
  5. Add the darkened semolina and mix thoroughly. Place the mixture on the lowest heat and cook for 5-7 minutes. Stir regularly. 7
  6. Place the finished mixture in a greased pan and place in the oven. Bake for 20-30 minutes at 180 degrees. It’s easy to check the pie for doneness - insert a toothpick into the middle. If it is dry, then the treat is ready. While the pie is baking, the breathtaking smells of orange and cinnamon fly around the kitchen. 8
  7. Cool the pie completely and remove from the pan. If desired, you can decorate with powdered sugar, natural yogurt, fresh berries or mint leaves.
